Hello i got a lame question.Is it possible to upscale the raw file before export it in prores?I'm using 5d mark II and i find that i lose quality when i upscale the prores from 1856 to 1920 but not when i upscale the cndg files.

Hello i'm using latest nightly build but can someone explain me why i can't get 1872x936 (2:1)
and i can get max 1856x844 in RAW 1.0 ? Also ,does someone have budget external monitor solution that works with magic lantern (at least for preview, not for recording, i've tried DSLR controller app , but it doesn't show the magic lantern menus) Thanks!

Thank you! It's very good to know that there is no quality difference between crops (at least if you don't rescale).I'm looking at sandisk 1067x, because Lexar is really out of my price range (i'm from Europe and here the price difference is a killer).

Hello i got two questions.First if i shoot 2:35:1 resolution is below Full HD but does the quality is actually lower or just crops the sensor?If i use letterbox  2:35:1 will there be any quality difference between full hd and max 2:35-1 resolution in 5dmark2.Also what is the best 32 gb CF card you've used beside Komputerbay which have very mixed opinions?

Hello guys what is the maximum fps in full hd in raw? I want to do some slow motion shots (not insanely ,around 20-30% slower than original) and i'm just curious.Is 24fps the maxmimum?Also , does someone tried it with twixtor?

Thanks. My budget is kinda limited and my dilemma was between bmpcc ,7d and 5d mark ii.But with Bmpcc i will have to invest at least 1000$ to make it alright for my needs (speedbooster,batteries and cards)

Hello. I currently own a canon 600d/t3i  and use it very,very rearly(my job is at post production/vfx so i don't have to shoot anything) I want to shoot raw and use it for personal/portfolio projects but i don't want to invest ton of money for it.Initialy i planned BMPCC but when you stack the accsesories just to make it work alright it just doesn't justify the cost for me. So my dilemma is - 50d vs 7D for raw? I have no intention to buy VAF moire filter so could you give me advice which of these two produce more stable, better looking image(moire for example). Thanks in advance!

720p mode has Downscaling. Awful problems with antialiasing. I wouldn't recommend it

Here's two frames from the short film I was talking about earlier. First one's the source file (RAW --> raw2cdng.exe). The second one is a processed one, upscaled to 1080p. That's roughly the color palette i'll be using to grade the film. Click on the picture so see the full resolution ones.

Shot at 100ISO, Hanimex 28mm f/2.8 @ f/5.6 or f/8 (can't remember), 1408x528 (2,67:1, max 240-250 frames)

I think it looks great and the image upscales very well. But I have no shame in admitting my cinescope fetish and I love these widescreen images, which allow me to record longer at higher resolutions. Now obviously that's not always an option. The higher the aspect ratio the lower resolution you're gonna need to use.

I can't wait  to see some footage!

What you mean dude? raw video? if so.. its still the same, just more user friendly and get extra frames

I have a very very stupid question. I already have Magic Lantern 2.3 but my card reader is broken and i'm in a place where i can't buy another.Is it possible to install tragic lantern without a card reader?

Hey at that moment i don't have the chance to test it myself so i want to ask you, what is the highest possible resolution you can shoot raw at lest 3-4 seconds (i'm NOT interested with continious) at 23.976 (24 fps) ?
