Hi All,

I just came to a sad realisation... If this little piece of software (MLVMystic) will not be further (publicly) developed it might have something to do with licensing. I have read this thread and many more with endless discussions on trying to mitigate the effort put into the ML project by its creators and others contributing and/or benefiting from it.

Therefore, I don't know if the sudden silence of @GTempler has something to do with the reply by @a1ex - it would be nice to know.

I wonder if there will ever be an easy tool (supported, updated, working...) to convert RAW / MLV files without vertical stripes from the 5D MKIII - which really is the camera I suppose you want to use with ML.

I'm sure many, myself included, would gladly pay for the post processing software and ML itself. I understand that there are complex issues involved but there is a clear need for this software, not just to play around with raw, but also to use it in production.

Unfortunatly, as other companies improve on their video offerings (sony, panasonic, blackmagic...), Canon might loose the videographer market it created and thus diminish the need for ML.

Hi guys,

Thanks for this wonderful tool. This is the only one that works properly for me on my 5DMk3 with MLV. I really hope you continue development and it's something i would gladly pay for.

Nevermind the really minimal interface, it fixes the vertical banding that's been driving me nuts for months!

Cheers!

While in Iceland this summer, I shot some RAW Footage on my 5DMK3 and edited it into this tribute to the beauty of Icleand and to the work of the ML Team.

Tech details:
Camera: 5D Mk3
Shot in 1080p @ 24fps on Lexar 32 GB 1000x
Lenses: Zeiss Planar 50mm 1.4, Voigtlander Color Skopar 20mm 3.5, Canon 24-105 f4L, Canon 70-300 DO IS.
Processed with ACR in PS, Edited in FCP, final touches in AE + Film Convert Pro.

Special Thanks to Magic Lantern. Enjoy!

Hope you enjoy it,

Thank you all for the info on the Transcend cards!

I'm trying to decide on what card to get for testing RAW Video, as I can't get the Komputerbay cards and Lexar is a tad on the expensive side for now :)

Any insight on the actual shooting performance of the Delkin 1000x cards?

@AndreasK, What is the performance of the 1000x Transcend cards during actual shooting? Is it good enough for shooting 1080p raw or how far up will it go without dropping frames? Thank you!
