I've noticed a tiny bug, not sure if it effects anyone else.
if I click it to zoom in on a picture it zooms all the way in, as if I'm holding it down. but it only does this when using ML.
It's not really a problem, just thought I'd share.

It's not really a problem, just thought I'd share to you sir/siress:
In ML go to "Prefs" (the monkey wrench icon) > "Image review settings" > "Quick Zoom" it should say "SinglePress -> 100" set it to what your heart desire.

Awesome! Could you explain how you did that?

You need to remove the ir/uv-cut filter that is in front of your sensor inside your camera.
Most sensors are capable of capturing more frequencies of light then the human eye.

Therefore manufacturers place this filter to not get interfering light that is not actually visible.

Search for "removing hotmirror + [your camera model]" to see how this is done.

Is there any new information why the camera bricked?

Went to the store to try out another battery.

Tried a new one, still no life signs.
Thought to myself "Oh well, just send it to repair."
Switched back to my first battery and Bam! It worked again.

I thank so much for the support I got from different directions. Some very helpful, some not so. (:

To clear things out.
The camera was never bricked, just battery failure after FPS overriding. Peace of cake.

No red SD card LED lighting up?
Have you touched the 1.0.4 firmware update from Canon?
You downloaded the Satriani build today?
What platform is your host (Win, Mac, Linux)?

No light.
I didn't touch 1.0.4 firmware update from Canon.
Used ML_N_17.06.2013 when the muddle started, now I'm not even using a sd card to make sure ML isn't badly configured.
I use win7x64 as host(?).

What will press & holding the set button actually do?

If you don't have a 2nd battery, I would go to Best Buy or somewhere and get one, that would rule out
that possibility. Radio Shack has them for $22. Lenmar LP-E8

I will definitely not get another battery if that implies going to another tectonic plate. But i've heard there should be at least one more Canon battery in the eurasian plate.

I had similar symptoms when I turned off the auto-off feature in the Canon menu and left the camera running until the battery ran out, with ML installed.  A couple things I tried, and I can't remember what worked:

Thanks but it really seems dead. Are you sure you did nothing else?

A couple of things that may be the cause this:
-When i installed ML and did the firmware update it said it couldn't find any update.
-I set the fps override to 65fps
-Directly after the above step, under the FPS Override category i was switching between Accurate fps, 180d no yello effect (or whatever it was called) etc.

Uhm that's very weird indeed. Does the card have any logs?

Does the led blink when you put a SD card inside that has an autoexec.bin on it?

No light. There are two logs, rom0.bin & rom1.bin, how do i open them?

Never had it happen (the brick I mean, but I had it crash multiple times). Pull the battery and card out. Let it rest for a minute or so and try to boot it up without a card

That was, with panic in my eyes my first action!

Waited about a ½ hour while charging the battery to 100%. Screen black, shutter mute and no sign of life.
Any idea? Is there any reset button(s)?

Errh... Switched SD card to my new sanDisk 95mb/s to try it out. While setting up some of my preferences, At "FPS override" i chose 65 fps just for fun. A few seconds later the screen froze and now the camera won't boot ???.

Did i just brick it?  :-\

maybe you have a bad copy of the .fir file for some reason

download again and try

download https://bitbucket.org/hudson/magic-lantern/src/99bd629f7c5712346369840e64c04fd2d4576520/platform/650D.101/devkit/650D-safe-dumper.fir?at=unified

Thanks for the advice!
I actually got it to work, changed from a MicroSDXC (With adapter) to a regular SD-card and it seems to work seamless now (:
Is it a known problem that you can't use microSD-cards for ML?

I went through all this struggle and registered myself just to write this single post!

I can't seem to figure how to successfully install ML.
What i did:
1. Low level format
2. Put the FIR-file on the sdcard and then put the sdcard back in the camera
3. In Manual photo mode, go to the fourth wrench and do a firmware update.

Here's where the problem occurs, when it's done it says "Update file cannot be found. Please check the memory card and reload the battery and try again".  :-\

I got firmware ver. 1.0.1
