I recently became the owner of the m50, so if I can help with testing - let me know)

Hello friends. I am having a problem: white/colored dots in underexposed/dark areas.

DNG frame
MLV sample (280MB)

The problem occurs even at low ISOs

Hello, what about the removal of AF points (EOSM)?
I have in my folder the required * .fpm profiles, but mlvfs does not use them.

Whether it is possible to include AA algorithms as AMaZE or mean32 not only in the mode of Dual-ISO processing, but also for normal RAW video to get rid of aliasing?

Ok. I understood you.

Thank you for your attention to the topic

Sorry for my possible incompetence, but I was referring to the lossless compression of the image processed by the camera. If lossless compression is not possible to implement in *.jpeg container - ok

Perhaps a quality compression with losses from the buffer greater than in the standard video recording mode will be better.

You mean compressed RAW?

14bit raw sometimes too expensive.

I think that the lossless jpeg (obtained from 14 bits) will look better than 8-10bit raw. In addition, jpeg will be faster in terms of post-processing on any devices.

Not so long ago, it became possible to access the intra-camera compression algorithm.

Is it possible to create a module to save small (up to 2k or 1080p) Jpeg compressed losslessly as a sequencing of files in separate folders or in a single file (like MLV) with a frame rate of at least 24p?
I'm not talking about a full-size matrix reading, but if you get out of variable raw-buffers receive lossless jpeg — that would be cool.

Thank you, I've fixed everything I needed modes.

Based on this block:
Code: [Select]
Block: RAWI
  Offset: 0x00000034
    Size: 180
    Time: 209.197000 ms
    Res:  1920x640
      api_version      0x00000001
      height           1107
      width            2592
      pitch            3240
      frame_size       0x004C9EA8
      bits_per_pixel   10
      black_level      127
      white_level      937
      active_area.y1   28
      active_area.x1   74
      active_area.y2   1101
      active_area.x2   2592
      exposure_bias    0, 0
      cfa_pattern      0x02010100
      calibration_ill  1

Based on personal experience I would say that the other profiles are used for crop mode.

But I do not know the buffer-size to rename files.

Thank you so much. And what about a crop mode/others resolutions?

How soon will it be possible to test a compressed RAW at 650D?

My results:

• Build on Jun13:
ok, no AF
• Build on Jul09:
ok, no AF
• Build on Mar30-2017:
bad, AF

By the link: in the build folder: jpeg file + dng file (from MLVFS) and original MLV

So, at the opening sequence MLV-file (shot 07.03.2016, the firmware was up-to-date at the time) mounted in MLVFS console appears "Loading focus pixel map '80000301_1872x1060.fpm' ..." and no AF points.

When opening files with firmware from 6.01.2017 (and later) to 10/14 bit, no information is displayed in the console, and the files open in Davinci with AF points.

Hello. MLVFS is a very convenient thing, but for some reason it does not load the correction profiles of phase AF points when opening files written by "new" versions of ML.

To files from 3.07.2016 the profiles are still loaded, but to files written with "new" versions of ML - no.

Hi everyone. A few days ago shot test video.
Filmed "with hands" had to stabilize (the distortion at the edges of the frame because of this).

Lens:Helios-44M 58mm f/2

Postprocessing without using "PDR-tool", to conwert to DNG I used only "raw2dng cs2x2 whitefix".

Stabilization in VirtualDub:Deshaker_v3&PremierPro:ProDAD::Mercalli
Motion Blur in Adobe AE:The Foundry::Motion Blur
CC in Adobe AE

Waiting for your comments  :)

Перенасыщенный синий, слишком сжатые тени, слишком много шарпа. Замедление лучше делать в АЕ при помощи Twixtor.

Google translate:
Oversaturated blue, shadows too compressed, too much sharp. Slowing down is best done in AE using Twixtor.

I use "raw2dng cs2x2 whitefix" without PDR and you can see the result (had to stabilize the video, because of this distortion). Without pink and green noise.
Sorry for my English, I use Google Translate.

Again, and this is what I've gathered, and I could be wrong again, but it seems like the 650D will most likely never be able to record full 1080p with RAW.
А зачем нам 1080p ?  :)
Многие всё равно обрезают поля до киношного 2.35. Так что мне бы хватило 1920*818.
Хотя всё-таки жаль что заблокированы другие разрешения для RAW, они бы пригодились для таймлапсов.
Why do we need 1080p?
Many still cut the field to the cine 2.35. So to me be had enough resolution 1920 * 818. Although still a pity that blocked other sizes for RAW, I would have them handy for timelapse.

I have the same problem

Hmmm... weird... this is most likely an error around reading / writing files. As I am a lazy guy, I don't check for these errors, because I simply assume that I have always the rights and space to read and write :)

On COMMANDES' screenshot I can also see that you're using special characters in your path name. Maybe that's part of the problem.

So could you please try again and...

  * use path and filenames without special characters. Choose something simple like "C:\temp". No Cyrillic characters or similar, please. Just plain ASCII.

  * make sure that you have permission to read and write in this directory

If this does not solve the problem, please let me know. I would then send you a special debug version with excessive logging to trace down the issue.
So ... Again, this error ... Sad ...

Ok guys, time to bother you with a new version of the pink dot remover! This time I added the dot locations for the silent DNGs. So now the program can process both, 1280x720 and 1734x965. Here's a "before" and "after" example of a silent DNG with identical RAW development settings and corrected aspect ratio:

Here's the binary, just unzip it and run java -jar PinkDotRemover.jar <YourFileNameOrDirectory> in the shell:

Source code:

By the way: I was wrong in one of my previous posts; the programm definitely requires Java 1.7... sorry...
Hi foorgol, i get this error

what am I doing wrong? I have java 7 upd 21
For shooting mode used "silent picture"

Красавчик, такой я Украину ещё не видел, получил эстетическое удовольствие. Спасибо :D
