well, it's lack of availability outside of Japan and China and the eos m fire sales didn't help the m2 in any way at all.

Current developers are happy to help.  But there needs to be someone else to take on the bulk of the development work.

and that is where the issue is.... I don't have the patience for development, and well, not many M2's seem to be in the hands of people that would care (my opinion).

to be honest, I'd be happy with just the continuous recording feature

Is there anyway to use your smartphone as a monitor with your EOS M?

I know of the app called "DSLR Controller" but it won't work on EOS M because of Canon have crippled remote functions of M. I was wondering could it somehow work with MHL adapter and MHL enabled phone?

If not suggest a reasonable priced "field monitor" for me, mainly to check focus. It should be rather small, under <6" preferably.

if looking for an alternative to the GP-E2, look up the Marrex MX-G10 GPS. it claims to be compatible with many canon's and can be found in the $50-90 range quite often (on ebay)

pretty much (from an experience with my T5i). Don't think the M2 ever got an update either (my M2 "SHOULD" be in once customs lets it go)

I use the original tascam dr-60d. zero issues so far AS well as with my headphones, i already know how loud audio gets recorded at by looking at the meters....so when I am in a rush, i don't have to fiddle with my headphones.

I need MAJOR help.  I am trying to learn about my t5i audio set up.  I can't see any audio levels and when i connect headphones, the lcd does not even turn on.  Please, by the grace of God, help me with this issue, even if it isn't new to you, for me its like the first time i learned about the differences about men and women. Please help me though this and thank you in advance.  Kindly V

to my knowledge, we DO NOT have headphone monitoring yet. As a matter of fact, there is no where to plug in headphones. The only available spot is the mic in jack, and well, that's an input only. Now i could be wrong an missed something in the past month, but to my knowledge, that's about it.

Has anyone find solution for headphone monitoring? on T5i? ... this function is killing me, i need to monitor the sound that comes in through headphone. i'm working like a blind man during shooting i cannot monitor my incoming sound.

I solved this problem by just picking up a tascam dr-60d ($200 at B&H right now) i can feed audio into the camera, record up to 4 channels at the same time (2 xlr, l/r on a 1/4 plug) as well as record audio on the dr-60d directly. Monitoring on camera would be great, BUT even passing clean audio into the camera, the dr-60d recordings sound soooo much better. the ONLY downside so far is it's size...

This is my very first successful try shooting RAW with some color grading,

I noticed some relatively visible grain although I was very careful keeping the ISO low, any advice?

Canon T5i (700D) and Atomos Ninja.

Is anyone working on, or found, a solution for the black frame around the Atomos Ninja's image. Up until this day all Canon DSLR cameras have overlays within the HDMI signal that cannot be removed making the external recording un-useable. Can this be remedied with Magic Lantern or is it a canon Firmware issue?

That would be nice to see if it's a hardware or software limitation
