Simply trying to see if anyone could reproduce the issue. If anyone can reproduce, it's a firmware bug. If not, my camera is defective. I will make a short video of the issue and post a link, but I will try and not flood this thread with the issue. Just wanted to see if all my fellow advanced tweakers have experienced this or not

Dont worry as i said i have the same isue with the nikon lens but my kit lens is working fine! So either its just that nikon lenses are not made for canon cameras (Capten obvious) or we both gotten ourself defective cameras! At least we are not alone!

This is the result of using nikon lenses with an adapter. Im having the same issue with vanilla 650D. My workaround is just not using liveview when taking photos with that lens!

Btw its a samyang 8mm fisheye lens in case you wondered!

From what i read there were no reason to feel that anyone of you were aggressive. Both were just stating facts but i can agree that the lecture you were given baga might been able to guide baga rather than trying to make him look like a know nothing which he is not! Does the live view motion detect feature only take one photo, or does it reset automatically and take another next time there is a movement?

Tried it today on 60D and it continues to shoot by default setting after you pushed it on. Had around 5 minutes to try it before leaving but you should be able to change the settings to what you prefer!

BTW, I've tried to boot the camera with the ML, it runs, the EV is always overlaying ML. Live view was very laggy and I did not manage to record more than 15 seconds.
I'm looking forward to see the alpha.

Were you able to record longer before havibg ML on the SD card?

Also remove the card from the camera and check what Class your SD card is! To record HD fot longer periods you should have an Class 10 SD card!

Hope that i van be as much assistance as possible even without the Pre-Alpha1!

WARNING: This will make both your card and your camera bootable. It should also be the only "permanent" change to your camera this build does, but I cannot guarantee you that

please i have a problem.  i can understand. i have my t4i and 2 memories but i test that: I try to write a update firmware to the lens 40mm canon STM. But i can. The mesaje say the disc is write protected. I hope to wait for ML to my camera but now have that problem. I ask this here and to the seller. But the seller there does not know which is the problem. Please tell my Where I can post this question inside the site. And the switch isn't the problem. the switch to lock is unlock. thanks

I think you are in the wrong section! Nevertheless.

Take a look on the SD cards side there is a small slider which makes the card read only.

Try that and see if it helps
