Problem with bracketing -4 0 +4 with t3i - tried 1, 2, 3 etc image exposure looks the same. (redondo beach pier)

I have had issues on the t3i for the last couple of builds, this latest build seems to not change the exposure or changes it so that f-stop and shutter speed are (equal). I used Ev -4 to EV +4. all 3 brackets are the same image hardly looks like any exposure change.

The previous build would over ride and shoot about 17 bracketed images - this atleast you could dig out 3-5 varying exposures to stack for an acceptable HDR image. (las vegas at night)

Cheers

start out with a case of beer... get a giant reflector, then pick out a LUT.

blown away -

So, to shoot this rock at nite - there will be 500 rock climbers with flashlights? no sure if its a curse or a benefit.

love the golden waterfall and boiling gold clouds.

check out the follow focus feature to focus and isolate objects and moving people. Amazed that parts of poland weren't leveled in WWII. seems to have no damage or was lovingly restored...

cheers from usa!

get a faster lens (use a wider aperture)... slower shutter speed with a tripod.

50 mm 1.8 or higher 1.4, 1.2

great tonal ranges(meadow w pink/purple flowers) - a polarizing filter can make those rainbows really pop! I use moose - a warmer version.

Any info on raw or workflow.

is there a humidity worry when doing overnite shots in thailand?

was this handheld or steadycam? some of your text could use a contrasting color instead of white. I have the audio off so I'll never know if shes a bride and actually got married.

pastels are perfect for the subject.

:o Fab - nostalgic look. ! indoor scene where the young girl is fliping though a book (dark right side), shadows could be brought up a bit (right side). Otherwise a winner.

The figures seem to bounce un-naturally, could we slow down the motion to make it more fluid

Beautiful - just make sure your horizon(s) is/are horizontal... 1 shot (19-20 sec part). I always use the grid feature or in post, sometimes looking into the sun all day long makes you work harder by sunset. (blurry vision).

Firmware 1.0.3

Did Canon Post what was changed or updated in the new firmware? All I saw on the UK site was a download link. No explanation while upgrading their desktop software & Utilities.

I'm not upgrading mine... Always look in the forums first before doing anything!

Just a FYI, Canon Just leave a good thing alone.

Re: Canon 600D / T3i Bricking UP, never had an issue using ML (2011) on a T3i for several years, except it can run hot after shooting for hours in the sun at sporting events/outdoors. I use a custom golf umbrella to keep the suns heat off my camera body when feasible, or opt for the best location with some shade. Sometimes the red light may stay on and won't go off. Remove the battery, and reinsert it. This setup is better than most why? because you can get away with getting this equipment into places that a traditional video camera would raise a big red flag... Wanting money for permits, scarring security, etc. Just use a better external video source if that part of your video matters. I purposely bought the T3i to run ML on it. I used every sort of video format old skool since U-Matic. I will continue using ML, it just works. If you need a newer port then get another Canon. T3i's are a bargain and can be picked up for $250. Way cheaper than most high end Panasonic's, etc. OK 4k video is coming, make sure you s-can (chit_ ) all of your existing Computers because the horsepower and HD requirements are enormous. I'll keep the change as technology advances. Who knows maybe next year ML will be obsolete, because Canon or Nikon has come to the table and seen the light, or some crowd-funded startup has blown all of them to the wall! Just my Opinion. I'm constantly being admired by my peers when they see what I do with my T3I. The photographer makes the image the tools are really all the same.

Do you have Canon firmware 1.0.2 http://www.usa.canon.com/cusa/support/consumer?pageKeyCode=prdAdvDetail&docId=0901e0248042d667 installed:o

Just a FYI. Didn't see a mention of it in the post so far.

While Googling "Thorens turntable outputs"  the one image of OUTPUTS look like the turntable has 2 RCA Female jacks for output. So a dual Male RCA to 3.5 mm Mini Jack http://www.amazon.com/3-5mm-Stereo-Male-Dual-Y-Cable/dp/B001UG823K not endorsing Amazon, locally you might find it without ordering. Since none of us have one of these record players and you didn't mention the outputs or model number - this is a best guess. Not knowing the Model of the phono preamplifier - or the inputs / outputs, this also applies. Could be a 1/4" jack, but you can find it or add an additional plug size adapter..

Having a hard time finding a Cable Release T3i/600D - That is Live View Controllable (Video Start / Stop) for ML. Most eBay sellers from China, don't know what the "Live View" button means ~ and certainly never heard of Magic Lantern.

Anyone fond a cable release which may have features to record video. I'm using a long lenses and would like to avoid any camera shaking from pressing the live view button for video recording?

Been searching - even an affordable wireless option...

B&H Photo suggested the Canon RC-6 Remote Control, sees like it has the minimum of features set. Most cable releases available are for still images and neglect video,

Aloha from Honolulu, Iselle the Hurricane, just barely rained here, with a few strong gusts. Julio is up next so will see if Iselle fooled us into a false sense of security.
