Raw Video Postprocessing / Re: PinkDotRemover tool 650D

right PDR does better, I just found an artifact on a frame from raw2dng 2x2. but I just love the workflow of raw2dng 3x3/2x2. drag n drop and it extracts clear frames.

I did a comparison between raw2dng_cs3x3_ahdlike vs raw2dng_cs2x2_ahdlike_noise to process dual iso dngs.

I see big difference on highlights. Hope that helps.

Not yet. If you saw dual_iso module in my last build, so I'm sorry that was my failure. Please, download the last build again, now it's correct.

my heart stopped a sec when i saw that dual iso toggle on my menu. you got me sir!  ;D

I'm satisfied from nanomad's 1.04 build. Pretty stable, even though i got an "early stop" error from raw video, I believe, it tells me to report. so here it is. I did some bitrate hacks, max at 2.5x CBR hit 110mbps many times. I also record a timelapse test done with fps override on my way home yesterday and today as well. but i haven't uploaded today's timelapse, so here is yesterday's test. big thanks to nanomad.  ;D

Great image! Excellent work! I envy you and your 5D3 :D

So RAW recorded on auto can lead to the same end product as RAW recorded on Cinestyle? Sorry for the probably nooby questions, but I'm pretty new to all of this.
First of all, Picture Style doesn't increase your dynamic range.
Second, RAW is recorded before picture style is added, therefore, you can still change the picture style on photoshop/your editing software.

correct me if I'm wrong. ;)

BUG:

The red circle record indicator sometimes disappears while recording with the ML overlay. I accidentally stop recording today, because I didn't notice the red circle. This might be problematic to a lot of users.

Thanks for the great work developers!

well, I experienced this also, on the pre alpha 1 (i believe). so the thing i thought i record wasn't recorded, vice versa. luckily it's not a wedding or such.  :P

I uploaded a RAW Video Test: http://t.co/oSV53iVdw1 here.
Resolution: 1280x432, I got a slow card. I reduced the pink noises on post using noise reductions from adobe photoshop/after effects. losing details  :-\

using satriani's custom ML_N_31.05.2013 build.

Did some testing with the video modes on Pre Alpha 2. I filmed some footage at 1080 24p. The normal bitrate usually comes out at around 50mbps. I upped it to 1.3x and it came just over 60mbps. I tried 1.4x but for some reason it went back to 50mbps. Anyone else try this?
I did try vbr qscale -16 and it's still 40-55. :/

Got bored today so I looked at lvrec / raw video and identified almost all the needed stubs. I'll probably include it in the next build just to see how this camera does. Keep in mind the sd controller is cheap and only does 40 MB second max
:o go go nanomad ;D

btw, when the card, battery and lens is inserted, the dial is switched off, then you scroll the scrollwheel the LED blinks. is  that okay? 60D doesn't behave like this. just curious.

will you be providing exposure (iso, aperture, shutterspeed, etc) menu as in first pre alpha on the alpha? even though i could use ML EV on the video menu to get 85, 160, 320 iso. but i just miss it :p. just asking.
#16
is this version removes iso control? 160,320,etc from the first pre-alpha?
#17
ooooh my god this made my dayyyy!  :D :D :D
#18
I actually still run the first pre-alpha1 for my videography life. it works and never fails me. therefore i really eager to check out the updates you've been working on. i use it for basic stuff: extra iso, focus peaking(helps a lot), zebra, and cropmarks. the other feature i love is hdr movie and intervalometer. hope you guys will release the most stable alpha ever. cheers! ;D
#19
relax, 700D has no major upgrade from 650D. well.. apparently. long live 650D!
#20
DIGIC 5 (650D) fully supports UHS-I SD cards, well according to wiki. it's a faster processor, but i don't think it really 'fully' exploits it.

anybody ever tested a Lexar 600x SDHC? which one do you guys think better Lexar 600x (up to 90MB/s) or SanDisk Extreme Pro (95MB/s). despite of 5MB/s difference, do you think it matters?

on magic zoom feature, how to move the focus box?

well i dont have any problem moving the focus with my 40mm STM lens since its a full time manual focus, in AF mode i could still play the focus ring and also i could move the focus box with touch screen, even drag the focus box.

but if i use my other lens, MF mode would not allow me to move the focus box with touch screen, i cant find the control to move it via buttons as well. AF mode on my other lens would not allow me to play with the focus ring.

i've never use ML before, so i dont know how exactly each feature works, but i think there's something not right in fps override. the outcome video have a bad image. i tried to record at 0.25 speed, it works, the timelapsing, but the image.. it  makes some sort of vertical lines.. however the intervalometer makes a great timelapse! :D :D :D i just dont know how to integrate it with the silent shooting feature, cos i really want to save shutter :P

let me give you the screenshot of fps override x0.25

i also experiencing crashes while doing some fps override tests. and maybe some random(i dont really sure why it crash) errors.
i'll give you the logs.

I need a volunteer for testing the pre-alpha1 build installation. Keep in mind this may be dangerous. The first one to answer below will receive a PM from me with instructions
