Hi, great implementation!
However, the original cr2hdr can process the .dng file too.
I generally store all the photo in dng format and i wonder if the plugin will be able to process not only the .cr2 dual iso files but the one converted in .dng too.

thanks!

Sorry iaremrsir, actually i am not as precise explaining it.
i meant the cineform 422, but anyway i think you are right, a cineform solution giving you the ability to work all the way from ML RAW to CF RAW is the best option in my workflow. I work on CF 422 RAW in fcpx so i need the best proxy clip as possible but i still have problems
with pink or magenta highlight, and to subtract noise from a raw file recorded with the cap on the lens (i try to follow instructions.. maybe i am doing something wrong..)
this is the highlight issue:

How have you fixed it?

thanks

Why not just use the Cineform software? They're already developing the raw converter for Mac.

Because cineform studio cannot import Magic Lanter RAW directly
and the mac version under mountain lion is quite unstable.
The RAW2cpgf  is great but it's a script.. it does't allow you to control the conversiona parameter too much.. (still have many problem with highlights etc..) and you cannot have thumbnails preview. Danewman it is helping us.. so why not embed the cineform potentiality inside a tool like clip house ..?
would be fantastic.. in other words taking a huge ML RAW, trimming developing and adjusting it having en exported still RAW version 1/10 of the original size and still able to be easily used and graded in NLE ... a dream...

Very high potential in my opinion.
Congratulations!
Looks like the missing link in my workflow.
I would suggest however to add a more control for
highlights and shadow separately
and to include the cineform in the export

Hi Guys,
inside RAWANIZER i have set this parameter with the new Bc setting
"{OutputVideoName}.mov"  -422 -l400 -bcX:\RAW\ISO 800.RAW

could it works for you?

actually it seems to convert.. even if with the actual file i am testing i cannot appreciate a shadow noise remove.
besides at the end of conversion i obtain the cineform file but the prompt shows this error
"Failed to Encode, do you have gopro cineform studio installed?"
actually i have ! so i wonder why this error appear at the end of the enconding process.

It is very hard to kill the pink highlight..
i don't have a premium version right now.
this is what it looks like the horrible burn magenta channel in the candle light

i have tried the -l400 parameter... the l90 parameter which is slightly better but not so much.. and the -c parameter which is very bad..

any advices?

Resolution must match also.  So black balance for high speed separately.

Scanning will be fast, faster than typing the name of the clip manually.

Hi Dan,
i was wondering if it is possible to prepare different clips with the cap on at the highest iso.
Like RAW800iso.RAW,  RAW1600iso.RAW, RAW3200ISO.RAW, RAW6400ISO.RAW
and when we have a high iso footage we can apply the "-bc RAWISOXXX.RAW" to remove the pattern noise.

Would it be good to speed up the workflow?

Another thing, i don't know why but when i open the normal -422 cineform clip in my MAC i see the pink cast in highlight.. whether it is not present in windows..  so the only thing i can do to remove it for my FCPX usage is to convert with  l90 or l400 parameter.
is it normal?

thanks a lot!

i got no reply.. but i could t resist and i bought a lexar pro 1000x, if it will be possible to increase the bitrate this card would help.
I am wondering how many stops more of dynamic range you can get when you process an uncompressed hdmi signal..
any clue?

Hi Guys,
this morning i was very happy to receive the news of clean HDMI output!
I ask a suggestion.. in case the new ML will be capable of increasing bitrate,
do you think a 90mb/sec or 600x CF card is enough to increase the bitrate considerably?
i am travelling close to USA and i can do some shopping..

thanks!
