Ever since I installed NB 07-03-2018 for the T4i movie recording has been erratic. Shutter speed will sometimes lock at 1/33and cannot be changed even though I originally set it at 1/50 inside of ML. I have to keep turning camera on and off. Even tried removing battery. Screen will also randomly go from live view to a text screen 'Push button to record'. This can happen while recording video. If viewing an onscreen screen menu it will change on its own to different menu's.  I installed an sd card with an older build and everything is stable. Is there something wrong with this build?

Wrong folder structure.

should be in the root of the card not inside the magiclantern-XXXX folder

Maybe we could some how clarify the install instructions to emphasize only installing the files and folders inside the unzipped magiclantern-XXXX folder, not the whole folder.

Well I missed being able to use ML on yesterdays shoot. Have another 3hr video shoot today and still can't get ML on my T4i. See my previous Post. To answer some suggestions from the forum.
I am on 1.0.4. It was installed during a factory repair.
I tried unzipping the download 3 ways.

1. Unzipped the download on the desktop and then copied the contents to the SD card. This worked for my T3i. But not my T4i.get msg 'Memory card containing firmware is required to update'

2. I copied the download directly to the SD card and unzipped it on the card. Put it in the camera. Same msg.'Memory card containing firmware is required to update'

3. I then deleted the original download zip from the SD card. Still get msg 'Memory card containing firmware is required to update'

Ok guys. I have a shoot in two hours and would like to get magic lantern on my T4i w/1.0.4. (Had it on my T3i but sold it.) I tried repeatedly to get ML on this camera. Followed the instructions to a T. Low level formatted the card(new sandisk 16G sdhc 1), Copied the unzipped Download onto the card. Unzipped it on the card. Put it in the camera in manual mode.  When I go to do the firmware update it tells me 'Memory card containing firmware is required to update'. Don't recall having this problem installing on the T3i. What am I missing?? Any suggestion??
