Bugreport: If MLVApp encounters a corrupt MLV, it will crash.

If you have a bunch of MLVs in the Session and you batch export them all, when MLVApp encounters a corrupt MLV, it will spit out an error like this:



If you click cancel, the whole thing will just crash.

Maybe allow an option to abort/retry/ignore(skip) the file?

Is it crashing if you change the order of clips?

I tried reimporting the clips with different order but it still happens.

Don't get it reproduced. Can do this with 20 clips and more - no crash, all works fine. Would really like to know what causes this on your PC with your clips...
Do you have some coding skills? I think best would be to run MLVApp via debugger on your PC. The debugger tells us in which line it crashes.

I never used QT before so I'm not sure if I can get anything useful, but let me see if I can set it up.

Anyway, is it possible that it's caused by having the .mlv darkframes in a separate drive? (regular spinning disk HDD, not SSD)

MLV.App.v0.17.alpha.Win64.static keeps crashing when batch exporting with Dark Frame Subtraction enabled.

Steps to reproduce:

Import multiple MLVs into Session, enable DarkFrame Subtraction Ext with pre-prepared MLVs for each file, batch export all MLVs as prores.

First MLV will complete render just fine, then MLVApp will crash on second or third MLV.

MLV App keeps failing to complete batch export.

Exporting multiple clips using Export Selected Clips (Ctrl-e) when darkframe subtraction enabled will only export one file or two and will fail to load any other files.

Even selecting other vids in the session box after the warning box is closed will still fail to load vids. (giving out file not found error)

I keep getting this error randomly when trying to export as CinemaDNG Lossless. Not sure what's triggering it. The same MLV files export perfectly with CinemaDNG uncompressed and ProRes.

Recorded on EOSM using latest crop 4k build from the experimental branch

Btw, I've been testing FPN with profiles from different session, even days apart and they apply flawlessly. Maybe it would be nice if the app can match ISO and frame sizes?

Btw, what happened to the beep feature when starting or stopping recording? I've been trying to make my 7D beep when I start or stop recording MLVs and I just can't seem to get it to work. It seems the option for that is gone from the ML video section?

Btw it seems the filter settings (sharpen, local contrast etc) cannot be copy pasted across clips, or is there some options I missed?

Also: Is it possible to make it so that MLVProducer remembers all the settings used between sessions, like having a default profile with all the custom settings set, so that every time we import a footage, it will set all possible settings to that? Lightroom has this ability to set everything as default profile and it's really useful to adopt to individual workflows.

Btw, it seems if I paste a setting to a video twice, it becomes purple-ish. Can anyone confirm?

And some MLVs just froze/crash the app. I can't seem to put my finger on as to why... I can't convert them using MLVP. Although, on one MLV, I found that it froze on the second frame. Cutting out that frame from rendering, allows it to render properly. Perhaps add an option to skip broken frame?

Sorry to break this to you but 7D is one of the few cameras that does NOT support Dual-ISO for video recording atm but currently does work for Photo only.

I got a few questions though.

I'm still trying to figure out the ins and outs of the color space. For some reason I can't get the Canon Log C to look right when I use a Canon Log C to LOG LUT (from Impulz) on premiere. Also, is it just me or does the display on MLVP looks like it's lowered at least a stop or two lower than what is on camera? Also: What's the difference between visionLOG 1 and 2? I thought there's only 1?

For FPN: Am I right that we're supposed to profile the noise for each ISO? I made FPN profile for each ISO steps and if that was the case, is it possible to add an option to make it so that MLVP pick the correct ISO from the available profile?

ALso: Could you make it so that the Include Audio option can be enabled by default?

Also: I notice there's a color calibration option when you paste settings on the media queue. Is this for calibration targets? (How do I use this?)
