Feature Requests / Audio RemoteShot
February 09, 2017, 11:08:50 PM
Hello everybody, I'm looking for the feature "Audio RemoteShot".
As I can see from here http://wiki.magiclantern.fm/userguide#audio_remoteshot once the function was in the shoot menu but now I can't found it on the latest release of magiclantern-Nightly.2017Feb09.5D3113.
Perhaps it is no longer possible to use this function?

Thank you

Hello, is normal to have playback raw video footage in camera only in monochrome style ???

In Config - Show modified settings I have only changed time for timelapse and  in the style picture (but in raw I think it is not concerned) the style is set in Neutral also for recording. In pc same raw footage have regular color.

from a amazon comment on 128 GB Komputerbay card

"The tech support person was great to talk to, here is a bit of inside info he gave me. They use micron/crucial chips on the 128GB card and a MSI (I think it's LSI) controller if I remember correctly. He said it the same as the Lexar 1000x cards. The Komputerbay smaller CF cards use samsung chips."

So maybe the 128GB is not a lottery and the price is between the Lexar 32 and Lexar 64.

What do you think?

I don't know if I should go for a Komputerbay 128GB or a Lexar 32GB 1000x

Hey dude, it is better for you forget about Komputerbay 128Gb
I have bought a new one from Amazon and this is the score

YOU CAN'T record RAW 1920x1080 16:9 25 Fps

I'll go with refund and I'll use my Lexar 32Gb (record flawlessly raw 19820x1080) until CF-to-SSD will be ready

 >:(

I confirm very poor performance on Komputerbay 128Gb new and format in exfat

max write speed around 70 Mb/s no 1920x1080 raw recording is possible

No problems with Lexar 32 Gb exfat

Sorry for delay, but I haven' t recived any notification of replay...

I' m using this http://store.raspberrypi.com/projects/virtualhere (I think it is based on usbip) or if you want you can try to compile yourself
follow this http://www.raspberrypi.org/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?p=121691 (not the same of virtualhere but pretty similar).
I'm running standard configuration on a fresh install of 2013-02-09-wheezy-raspbian.img

I think Camranger use this kernel module

this is a photo of my setup working

and in this link http://www.androidiani.com/forum/android-tips-tricks/303128-usb-over-ip.html#post3930920 you can find some resource for android device (I'm trying to use it to remote control the 5D mark III) I have found in the net.

For anyone interested it is enough to format in EXFAT the card on which you are recording. Then if you have ML in a second card (SD or CF) you have not to format it.  ::)
#15
Hello,
but for record >4G raw is sufficient to format in EXFAT only the CF LEXAR where I record the video or I have to format in EXFAT also the SD card where is ML ?

Thank you

Hello,
I'm able to fully control a 5D Mark III connected with usb to a Raspberry and use Eos Utility on a remote Windows :'(  device through a wireless connection whit router( but I think is possible also with adhoc connection).
Does anyone know how to compile "usbip" client side for Android devices ???

Hello,
I'm able to fully control a 5D Mark III connected with usb to a Raspberry and use Eos Utility on a remote windows device through an wireless connection whit router( but I think is possible also with adhoc connection). Basically it is only to share usb over ip (wired or wireless). Whit a battery grip we can have a low cost wft-e7 ;-)

Hello guys,

maybe this is a very stupid question. I own a 5dMIII and would love to run ML alpha 2 , but when i download this from the link in the first post I think it misses some files. I ownly see  the map ML / ml-5D3-113.fir and userguide.pdf. There is no execute bin files or whatever this guys says on youtube. My camera is on firmware 1.3, formatted the card like all the steps you and the youtube movies says.

I looked up on youtube how to install it, but they have much more files. Am I doing something wrong? Maybe someone could please help me.

Ivo

Simply
1- Format your card in fat32
2- Download magiclantern-5D3.113.alpha2.zip on your desktop
3- Unzip magiclantern-5D3.113.alpha2.zip on your desktop
4- Move in the new folder magiclantern-5D3.113.alpha2 on your desktop
5- Copy all the files and folder, as they are, in your card
6- Remove your card from your computer and insert in your Canon 5D Mark III
7- Turn on your Canon
8- Move in Canon menu and do firmware update
