General Development / sony camera app reversed engineered

I know nothing about programing, but I guess this lets other apps to be used on sony camera. Is ML an "app", or could it be? Myself and probably many others would gladly pay to have ml on sony cameras.

Feature Requests / magic lantern for raspberry pi

so, now you can buy plenty of hdmi-in monitors for the raspberry pi. I think it would be great to be able to create a pi based viewfinder/field monitor with ML functions(peaking, historgram, falce color, etc...) and it would be for just about any dslr out there.

Hello, I hope someone can help me..I have a 550D and I`ve been using ML with it since day one. Now I`m shooting an automotive show and the thing is that the client brings his own SD cards so I can`t use ML. Ok, I`ll live but the thing is that in video mode I can`t change WB at all?!?! what`s going on here? Do I need a FW update or something? When I press the Q button these just isn`t a selection for WB and I can`t set it anywhere in the movie menu.
What am I missing here?

Feature Requests / Re: dual ISO H.264
November 22, 2013, 06:32:05 PM
I used this https://bitbucket.org/mk11174/magic-lantern/downloads/DUAL_ISO.MO
And placed it in the latest nightly build...I may have screwed something up, because I just replaced the regular ML files with the nightly ones...dunno. I can activate it, record in h.264 and all, but it`s just like normal video.
I`m off for the weekend, so I`l try some more next week. If anyone else comes up with something usefull share it here :)
Have a nice weekend everyone.

ok, I got everything to load up on my 550d, but to tell you the trouth I don`t know if it`s working or not. It still says that it only works in raw, but I was able to set everything and record in h.264. Looking at the footage I can`t say if it works or not...do I have to run it thru some software first?

I pitty your clients if you do this for a living. I will try it as I requested it in the first place.
I might need some instructions as I'm not very geeked up on ML...I just use stable releases and a handfull of features.

you can do noise reduction in resolve lite as well.
you just make a layer nod, and desaturate one layer completly and remove y(yrgb) on the other. Then layer mixer->composite mode->add. Now you divided colors and shapes..kinda. Then you go on the layer that you removed Y from and blur it a bit. This is what denoisers basicaly do as well as far as I know. It takes 30 sec and works great, I use it all the time with great results. Also for sharpening(I just sharpen the desaturated layer)  it creates a bit of a film look and it does not add any color artifacts. These are probably my favorite features of resolve.

im not sure how that would help recover the underexposed or overexposed areas.

don`t know but I imagined something like this

but also in 1080p and not limited to 50fps.
I sure know it would come in handy when filming skaters going through shade areas and into the sun.

probably fake yes, but what was it shot with?
theres bad autofocus and quite a bit of CA which is what you find on budget point and shoots.

some guys posting misterious videos around that are supposably recorded on a 100$ canon compact with 35Mbit/sec.

because it`s a shaky pan?
master your tripod, move slower and more fluid. Otherwise it`s a normal look for 24 fps.
