Duplicate Questions / Re: Magic Lantern and 3D

I have since seen your post lenny, sorry for not just continuing. Was hoping we could generate some interest in to this. Have you found any way of doing this?
Duplicate Questions / Magic Lantern and 3D
October 02, 2013, 10:16:14 PM
I know that it is tough to get nice 3d images from 5d's because they don't sync properly. Typically, one would gen lock cameras and be able to get 3d images from the synced cameras. Now my question, is would ML be able to somehow write something that would sync between 2 cameras? Does anyone know if raw syncs better for some reason, since it works more with fixed numbers and not variable?

I tried searching but could not find anything, and I am aware of the hypotheticals in this site (8k on 550d!?), but thought it was worth asking. Thanks again for all your continued efforts.

A little more on efforts to sync 5d's for 3d -
Is there anyway to implement some sort of timecode on these?
Feature Requests / Timecode for Raw Video

Not sure how impossible this is but I work in a world of many cameras running simultaneously, and hoping that it will be possible to generate timecode somehow when pumping out the .raw files. Thanks again for you all your help and work.
scrax that worked perfectly. got it running on parralels too. I get these errors though, have you been able to process things? I am at work currently but will be testing soon and don't have any raw files here.

Jun  3 14:01:16 Andrew-Siceloffs-MacBook-Pro.local mono[1455] <Error>: kCGErrorInvalidConnection: CGSGetWindowTags: Invalid connection
Jun  3 14:01:16 Andrew-Siceloffs-MacBook-Pro.local mono[1455] <Error>: kCGErrorFailure: Set a breakpoint @ CGErrorBreakpoint() to catch errors as they are logged.
and then drop raw2cdng.exe in the terminal window you should end with something like this:
mono /Users/scrax/Downloads/raw2cdng.0.99.exe
press enter and the app should load.

I get this error

/Users/sicetime/Downloads/misc-master/raw2cdng.0.99.exe: cannot execute binary file any ideas?
Scrax, your work is incredible, I have been using since it's first beta, and the progress is truly amazing (also thank you to captain hook and the others who helped with dev).

Chmee is currently working on a cinemadng converter and is getting some workable cdngs imported to resolve on a pc.

Scrax, any plans to port this to mac?

Here's the link for the thread

As always, thank you all for your hard work.
Any update on this?
I work in post, and have assimilate's scratch and resolve, I am ready and willing to test any post workflows that come out of this. Thanks for the great work, I think this one of the most exciting ml threads I have read!
I tried opening the dng's in Assimilate's scratch and had no luck as well, just wanted to give a heads up about that, I guess they only support cinemadng's womp womp.
My tests have shown that with .5 batch is working on batch 4gb files, I have yet to test beyond that, no bugs, no hickups, I'll fill up my card tonight and report back, thanks again scrax!

On windows I set open with raw2dng.exe.. files end up in the folder the raw file is in.

Great work scrax, and thanks again squig for all your help!
OK so I'm an idiot, I now realize what drag raw to the executable file means. And it is now working, Thanks to Ultiva who has the wine app working above, I'll follow that later.

Is there a way, on the windows side of things in raw2dng.exe, to specify where the files (dngs) go? All my files end up in documents and settings.
Also, I am running vmware fusion and when I try to open raw2dng.exe it just crashes automatically, any idea why that's happening?

The box pops up for a split second, then disappears, it's weird.

running windows xp through vmware fusion on a older snow leopard macbook pro (please don't judge).

Is there any update on the mac gui app that can handle over 2gb files or is it just not possible to do? anyway a simple tester can help?

Hey squig, which build are you working with for this? Which card are you writing to? What's your experience with it all, what are you able to pump out of the 600x?

I feel like I get so lost in this forum, in a beautiful way.

Can someone point me to the latest module/nightly build for the 5diii?

Is it safe to assume that the 128gb komputerbay is slower compared to the 32 and 64?

Anyone running a 64gb komputerbay 1000x able to record constant 1080p?

I know that cinema5d/eoshd both used the 128gb on their tests, so are they lying about getting 1920x1080?

Or is it possible that older builds were able to pull that info?

As always, thanks!
is there a place that has compiled all different cards against the resolution they are capable of reaching (with out dropped frames)?
This is interesting to me, that this thread hasn't gotten more attention.

I would say one of the hardest part of using this new amazing feature is the LENGTHY post process.

Am I right in saying that raw2dng and then after effects is the best way right now (mac)? This process takes AGES for me, anyone come up with something better/faster?

Question regarding CF card and the Mark II: Will the KomputerBay cards work with the Mark II (they do work with Mark III)?

I know that Andrew from EOSHD Used the 128gb KomputerBay 1000x when he tested it, but haven't heard anything further.
Thank you for your hard work!

Does anyone have the link to the most updated 5dIII build?

Is this it?
are any of you running raw2dng on a mac? Does it work on wine or vmware fusion?
General Help Q&A / 5D III RAW VIDEO HELP
May 13, 2013, 08:31:50 PM
Instead of flooding the amazing thread with the development of the 14 Bit Raw video recording, I figured it would be nice to start a new thread on how to get this up and running and a workflow for it and any general help questions. I have limited understanding on how to implement these things, and would like a deeper understanding on what is happening in camera, and how to use it to it's best potential.

Any step by step on the subject?
