Thanks, alex,

so now i have the file, which can not be processed, till update, right.
(yes, i downloaded your cr2hdr again :-)

And what about opposite situation, where my non dualISO files are processed into dngs?
Why is that happening/how to prevent it?
#3
@a1ex

your last cr2hdr converts this ISO 100/+2EV
https://www.dropbox.com/s/xcaclw1jxwhnv82/2014-02-23_5089.CR2
into dng which still has dualISO lines like input cr2 file, could you check it, please?

again, please (post #1499):

Am I really the only one, who gets DNG files from not dualISO CR2 files?
#5
perfect, thanks.
it works now as expected. :)
HaND!

chris_overseas

that is the feature which i wanted long time ago,
but could you please edit the script instead of giving a puzzle to us?

As far as I understand your guidance I am getting only:
"Invalid ´for´ loop control variable" code.

Hi, A1ex,

I may found a bug:
new cr2hdr-histmatch3.exe is creating DNGs from non DualISO files -
please, see text output in comparison with cr2hdr-amaze-edge5.exe result:

It (cr2hdr-histmatch3) however detects "Doesn't look like interlaced ISO",
but dng is created anyway. It happened with a few of my cr2 files from today´s shooting.

Hi, a1ex,

I tried your new cr2hdr-amaze-edge.exe - it is really much better. Real improvement. Thank you.
However, I have a cr2 which crashes that new exe. (at least for me)
Previous version of cr2hdr did process it without problem.

Here is that cr2: https://www.dropbox.com/s/egdau7pki8620t1/2013-10-17_3125.CR2

Thanks, a1ex,

I do not know what to think, I have never had such a result from Lightroom,
so I asked you about dualISO.
But I see your result, it is really OK...
Hm. ... Thanks anyway, I will look further into it. Perhaps. :-)

a1ex,

There is black halo around the person, black color from his clothes is spreading/leaking
into surrounding area.

boosted effect: https://www.dropbox.com/s/d4q4n08ukggjoy8/2013-10-19_3286%20more%20visible.jpg

Can you see it now?

Hi, a1ex,

I found today this black leaking into the picture:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/1llw7tzxzvrw79h/2013-10-19_3286.jpg

here is original cr2:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/go0cnmjv3hwdcyx/2013-10-19_3286.CR2

I processed it with the last cr2hdr from 15.10.
Could this be cured?

Hi, engardeknave

it would be nice if your script could delete successfully converted cr2s (only).
Could you add that feature into your script, please?
We really do not need those cr2 files anymore after conversion.

Thank you.

If I uderstand correctly you are saying that we have two options in the script and by adding the little ' mark infront then we are commenting out that option.
So:
'imgprefix="img_"
imgprefix="DUAL"
means ingnore the prefix: 'imgprefix="img_"
and use the prefix: imgprefix="DUAL"
correct

Quote
So I rename my files to:  DUAL__002544.CR2

And the script does not find them?  What am I doing wrong?

I do not fully understand, what R U asking, I am sorry.

In fact, actually I have prefix "_UAL" - like this: _UAL2516.CR2,
so I renamed it at line:
imgprefix="_UAL"
and it worked like a charm.
Try to check your settings. Did you set the right path for cr2hdr.exe at:
path="C:\Users\blah\Documents\cr2hdr" ?
#14
U should have it like this, if your prefix is DUAL:

'imgprefix="img_"
imgprefix="DUAL"
#15
That is supergreen, thank you very much :-)

You can already use a batch script that does this. There's one posted somewhere in this thread.

Also found something here: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/672719/parallel-execution-of-shell-processes

Thanks, a1ex
but I have no idea how this could be helpful for me :-)
As far as I understand that script, it is meant for different king of task.

Drag&drop dualiso cr2s on cr2hdr.exe is nice and simple, I would not change it.
Plus, parallel processing of multiple cr2 files would perhaps overload HDD...
so multicore processing of one cr2 at a time still sounds better. At least for me. :-)

Have a nice day.

Hi, a1ex

thank you for DualISO on my 50D, it is awesome.
It however started to work for me as expected only since the last build of cr2hdr.exe
(till then i had only green whites + pink shadows as dng, do not know why...)

But, is there any chance to create cr2hdr with multicore CPUs support, please?
This single core version is really time consuming, which is time limiting for testing dualISO pictures...
It is a waste of resources we have. :-)

Anyway, thanks again.

@Orim - You are probably over exposing your shots. Are you using the raw histogram, raw zebras? 'raw' being the important bit ;)

Andy600,
thank you for your interest.
The best I can have on picture (in lightroom from dng) is a green highlighted window, with green "shadow" on the wall...
It is far away from your results...
I had ETTR on, so I switched it off  and used 100/1600 dualISO.
Any advice, please?

Hi,

I decided to try dualISO on my 50D,
I put this Tragic.Lantern-2.0-Andy600.Build.2013Aug19.50D109 on my empty CF
and then used this 50D_cr2hdr.zip + Use these for processing Raw video files or Dual ISO photos.zip
but unfortunately I still have only green/white zebras in highlights - without any other details.

What am I missing here, please?

Hi Alex,

I shoot some photos with ML autoISO ON
(eos 50d + 430exII)  and normally (without ML) I would had ISO400,
but with ML it is ISO100 - which is cool;)

request:
Is it however possible to set a new upper ISO limit?
Canon autoISO goes only to 1600, so I would like to have a chance to raise it to ML maximum ISO
(2000, 2500, 3200... )

bug possibly:
Back to my shooting - I took 8 photos in a row,
7 is 50mm, 1/250s, f/5,6, flash on, EV+1/3, ISO100
but 1 is unexpectedly 50mm, 1/250s, flash on, f/5,6, EV+1/3, ISO1600 ?

I do not use Info screen.
Just attempt to use DotTune AFMA will turn it ON...

EDIT: I redial three choices in INFO button setup, went back to Normal,
and now AFMA works!!! Thanks for guiding me to right direction :-)

#22
BUG: DotTune AFMA does not work on 50D:

DotTune AFMA, any test range = just 3x blinks INFO page and then
"Press INFO and try again."  shows.

My setup:
Canon EOS 50D + 50mm/1,8 II ( or 17 55 /2,8 tamron ),
FW 1.09 + ML v2.3.NEXT.2013Feb25
