My latest 35minutes film is shot mostly with a canon R5 4k 10 bits 4.2.2 but i shot few material with my 5D mark iii too
And I prefer magic lantern images. Especially because mlv app give us a prefect cinematic shot without any effort.

We know that the main issue with 1:1 modes is the cropped preview. There is a stuff we can use to help when shooting especially moving shots: a director's viewfinder application on your smartphone.

It's easy by setting the smartphone near the camera to achieve a very similar liveview.   

of course it will be not perfect due to the perspective. however
It will be usefull to follow a subject or whatever.


we can also use another camera but we need two cameras and two lenses !

Here is a short film I made on 5Diii with classic fullhd raw. It was shot as a documentary with almost only handly shots and a microphone fixed on the camera...
Not the best quality compared to new 3,5k mode ! But full HD still worth.

French, dutch, english and welsh langage with english subtitles.

Ps: sound still need mixing
