Probably the closest I've gotten to making the Eos m look like film. This is why we Shoot Magic Lantern, it brings the best out of these budget Canon cams. 😎🙌🎬🔥

Canon EOS M Film | ARRI "Sundown" | Magic Lantern RAW Video 14-Bit | CZJ 50mm F2.8

It was a hot day and I went out with just my EOS M, simple gear and two batteries (I only used one for the whole shoot). It was very hazy in the sky due to the Bushfires and the sun was hot. Managed to capture these beautiful RAW Clips with the Canon EOS M and Magic Lantern RAW. The clips were a pleasure to grade and had an ARRI feel to them. For the price, the EOS M is such a special camera!

First Time Boat Paddling | Canon 5D Mark II Short Film RAW Video | 14-Bit Magic Lantern [4K Export]

Gave the 5DII a test run with the L Glass a few days ago. First time boat paddling on a very sunny day with a lot of contrast. I mainly underexposed the scenes to recover the shadows and highlights in post otherwise there would have been a lot of clipping. Shows the dynamic range potential of the 5D, really nice. Enjoy!

Gear Used:
Canon 5D Mark II
Canon 24-105 L
Canon 50mm F1.2L (two or three scenes)
Tonkix Variable ND 77mm

Can see some areas for improvement with the 5D2, but so far it's been good.

- DUAL ISO 100/800 some scenes.
- Mostly exposed for the sky using 100% Zebra
- Basic Grading [MLV App], Files arranged in FCPX and placed in a 4K Timeline.

Amazed by the level of detail coming from the EOS M & 2.5K Raw. Even on a 4K Monitor it looks detailed. May have to use this mode more often.

THE HILL | Canon EOS M RAW w/ Canon 24-105mm F4 L | Magic Lantern RAW Video

More of a fictional look this time with the EOS M  ;D...

Here is another video put together a day ago with the Canon 24-105mm F/4 L & Canon EOS M RAW. It was a very contrasty sunny day this time :) I aimed to give it a "fictional look" as this is what I felt was best for the mood and the story. Reminds me a bit of the movie "No Country For Old Men". *Opening Shot was @2.5K RAW Max Resolution 16:9* Love the IS from this lens and have owned it 3 times in the past with the 6D & 5D3.

Gear:

Canon EOS M RAW | Forest to The City w/ Canon 50mm F1.2 L | Magic Lantern RAW Video

A short video I put together with the EOS M Raw and Canon 50mm f1.2L It was a cold, rainy day with no blue sky :( even in spring, but lucky the lens has weather sealing. Some errors here and there, but it's all a part of learning I guess.
All hand-held, with post stabilisation.

Camera: Canon EOS M [2.5K ML RAW Mode - ~2.9x Crop]
Lens: VEGA-7 20mm F/2 [KIEV 16U Mount]

Here is a lens test and footage compilation of an old Russian USSR Cine Lens that sells for cheap using the Canon EOS M ML RAW 2.5K Mode. Looking at the overall story, I felt that Black & White was more appropriate in comparison to color.

Quite Dramatic...One of my favorite scenes @2:19

RAW Film test to see how the colours can be pushed. Tried to emulate the DUNKIRK 📽 Film look but not too close. Great camera from 2012. 👌

The M2 is a great compact camera with added benefits such as Wi-Fi and 8-10% smaller than the original M. Still requires ML Development.

Shot with the Canon EOS M Raw & Canon FD 50mm F1.8. Cheap combo produced nice results.
