Hi,

I've had the camera stored for about one month and suddenly these black vertical lines appeared.
Check out the photo.

I've reset everything, unistalled ML lantern, updated for the latest nightly, removed bootloader,  reinstaled the 1.2.3, then the 1.1.3, restored about everything and problem pressists.
It shows on live view and video also.

Please tell me that my camera isn't damaged.. :/

Hello,

I've just received a Aputure V-Control that basically is a USB focus controller (just the Canon EOS software).
After a few tests, I end up with maximum refresh rate of the controler and maximum step size and still the focus is too slow, I mean really too slow. I need to turn the dial 7 turns to get it from infinity to close focus.
This controller should me mounted on a handheld brushless gimbal to control focus, but at this focus rate its impossible to control it. The ideal would be half turn or even full turn to get it from infinity to close focus.

Since the Follow Focus on the Magic Lantern works really well (10ms refresh, with step 2) I wonder if it would be possible apply those settings to the information getting in via USB.

In short: Could Magic Lantern get the USB follow focus behave faster?

This would be so great.
Thank you
Hugo

Edit:
Forgot to add the gear, this was on a 5DIII with Tokina 11-16, Sigma 35 1.4, Sigma 50 1.4, Sigma 85 1.4. All with same behaviour.

Is there a way to make the IR remote control to trigger movie recording instead of photo shooting?

I'm using this on a remote camera, since recording RAW, the useless minutes between the recording start and the actual action means lots of GB's and even a 128gb card full.

Thanks

Hi,

I've search on the feature requests, on not possible and to-do list and I was unable to find this request.
What I figured out that would be really helpful on my recordings was a function that, when I use Av or Tv modes (on events with variable light with no time to manually expose), the exposure was always measured until I press the record button, from that time until the recording has stopped the exposure was kept as it was in manual mode.

Other thing that would be great was manual control of ISO on Av or Tv modes, i use a 5D3 recording raw, I want the exposure to be compensated only with speed or aperture (Av or Tv) but with constant ISO. This works great in photo but as soon as i set it in movie mode it shows a message saying that its not available in auto modes.
This is a issue when recording RAW because there is no intermediate ISO's, so an ISO change is really noticable.

This basically are 2 feature requests, but since they are related i posted on one post. If needed i can split.

Thank you very much
