General Help Q&A / HDMI shuts down camera screen - how to fix it ?

hi
when I connect HDMI to my 6D and 80D the camera's screen shuts down... this does not happen with my Sony A7s.

is there a way to fix this ?  does Magic Lantern offer the possibility that the 6D's camera screen stays 'on' when I connect HDMI ?

hi,
spent several weeks in Iceland this fall, saw a lot of northern lights...
here's a video shot with a 600D ( T3i ) and Magic Lantern in fps override 'low light' ,   sort of a nightlapse.

Share Your Videos / used fps override in low light for northern lights timelapse video

March 17-18 and 19-20   in Iceland saw beautiful Northern Lights,
had a EOS 600D and 700D
had a Tokina 11-16
used fps-override , mostly at f/2.8 , ISO 1600, 11mm , lowlight, several seconds per frame.
of course it would be better to have a 24mm/1.4 lens or other ultrawide f/1.4.... but thanks to MagicLantern's fps override in lowlight I managed to still get a pleasand result. Enjoy !
