It looks promising...

Don't know how it would be difficult to code this for magic lantern...

Hi,

I wondered if it was possible to write to disk a regular cr2 during the dualiso process.
Sometimes, dualiso doesn't offer good post-processing in détails (flower fields seems to be painted for example)
I know that i could alternate dualiso and regular in two takes, but sometimes it is played to the second !!!
But dualiso is a great improvement, but regular cr2 is a great security too..

Thanks a lot..

Feature Requests / Slit-Scan photography effect
November 08, 2013, 01:34:51 PM
Hi,

I wonder if it is possible to make this effect on a single shot (not a video effect).
In fact it would record the lines one by one sensor from top bottom or left to right during a request period and write a dng after that.

Here's an article about this old photography effect

And thanx to all for what's done here by the ML crew.

Feature Requests / RAW and JPG writing module
June 25, 2013, 04:26:49 PM
Hi,

I'm totaly amazed by all the work done here for raw recording.
It's very remarquable and it's a great advance.

I wonder, if it might be possible, like 12 or 10 bits discussions, to simply write 8 bits Jpeg sequences directly to the card.
The render, also in 8bits, is far away better than the old h264 canon, and, in several cases, it will help a lot and save disk spaces.
With a flaat profile and ETTR, we could approach something cool in 1080p without several post-processings.

Files could be less than 2Mo and we could have a constant record @25fps (50mb/s)

The Jpeg S mode in 5d2 writes 2784x1856 without flickering for a 1-2.5 Mb per file.
We could reach 3K with nice shots.

Thanx for your opinions,
A great job is already done here...

Raw Video / Raw2dng development ideas
May 21, 2013, 09:56:00 AM
Hi, things seems to be moving quickly... :D
I'm not a coder, but i'm getting the idea that raw2dng could be also a management tool.

With a gui, it could take an entire raw folder and create dng's subfolders with raw's names.
Perhaps, also creating a folder with a low res mp4 proxyfile that it could be useful before developping dngs.

The first step with the gui could be easy... but could not be the last...

Thanx to all for your amazing work..

Magic Lantern Build 16th may

Severail shots @1080p @960p @900p @840p

Write 80-85mb/s and read 120-130mb/s but only 65mb/s in LV for now.

DNG are developped with Adobe ACR and edited with After Effects (upscaled from 2 to 10 %)

Hi,
I wonder if it will be possible to integrate a gretagmacbeth reference in the liveliew. You take a photo and a fine custom wb is calculated, also for video.
Just an idea, don't if it is possible or not...
