Reverse Engineering / Free NSA Reverse Engineering Tool
January 21, 2019, 04:37:51 AM
Maybe this will be useful for devs?
https://www.rsaconference.com/events/us19/agenda/sessions/16608-Come-Get-Your-Free-NSA-Reverse-Engineering-Tool
It kinda decompile C code, platform independent... And free, maybe even open-source!!!

Shot in FullRes with 4 fps.
Heavily stabilised with lots of artifacts.
Than twixtored, almost without artifacts.
I'd rather to shoot with higher fps, but lower resolutions.
It will be more easy to stabilise and no need to twixtor.
But who knows that hyperlapse technik, used to work very well from boat, will fail on air baloon?
Animated photo on thumbnail.

I shot DualISO FRSP timelapse about 100 frames long and after stopping intervalometer disabled AutoETTR and shot about 20 black frames with same settings. Then I processed files 4 different ways:
1. As usual mlv_dump + cr2hdr without black frames.
2. Black frames subtraction + mlv_dump + cr2hdr.
3. Black frames subtraction + mlv_dump + cr2hdr --no-bad-pix.
4. mlv_dump + cr2hdr --no-bad-pix.
The conclusion is better not to use Black Frame subtraction with DualISO :(
Why cr2hdr works better alone?

General Chat / Panasonic invents a wh... focus ramping
November 21, 2015, 09:13:34 AM
They just shoot 1 sec 30 FPS video with focus ramping and call it "Depth from Defocus technology".
Then one can choose and extract any frame by clicking object on the screen (which part of image in focus in every frame memorized too) -
this called Post Focus  ;D
Viola, guys at Lytro in a shame :)

Despite it's clearly declared on site that
"All goods are fully insured. We have even arranged to insure goods sent by 1st class recorded delivery using a third party insurance company."
After 3 months of wasted time i finally got answer that
"1st class insurance is limited to domestic service only - not international".
Having a long history of successful internet shopping, I for the first time spent money absolutely for nothing.
And it happens not with small asian online shop, damn it.
I'm so sorry to contribute to this wonderful project and community by sharing this negative information, but it's best i can do now.
