Inspirational video I filmed using Magic Lantern Raw on 5D Mark III
#2
I'm noticing a white balance shift on some of my clips.. I have my white balance set in ACR but after exporting the clips there is some major hue shift in the colors (sky from blue to green) and I'm not too sure why thats happening..
Shooting on a 5DMarkiii on build from march (because the more current builds I've experienced more noise)

Raw Video / More noise than usual? (recent build)
August 21, 2014, 06:55:12 PM
I recently experimented with a few of the new builds and I've noticed some high noise levels even at low ISO's, and even after noise reduction which usually cleans it up super nice. I never noticed noise to be this extreme back on the February build that I was using previously, I'm wondering if anyone has experienced something similar. (Shooting on 5D Mark iii 1.1.3 build)

Whats up everyone, here's a recent video I put together while flying with @GoldenGateAir over the San Francisco Bay Area.
The whole video was shot using Magic Lantern Raw and I thought some of you might enjoy the aerial shots

Enjoy

Has anyone had any success getting VISIONLOG to work on ACR 8.4? Even with the folders in the correct places, I cannot get the VISIONLOG to show up or work inside 8.4 anywhere.. If it's not possible, does anyone have suggestions on how to get back to ACR 7 without having to completely uninstall-reinstall the cs6 series? This would be a big help, thanks.

Went out to shoot some photos for Lotuss Clothing Supply's Spring LookBook and ended up shooting some Raw Video
This is my first project using my 5D Mark III and Magic Lantern RAW.
Shot using only a 35mm 2.0 lens, Fly Cam and natural light.
Used 2.35 aspect ratio for 1920x818 and 48fps to convert to slow motion.
Used the Feb 6th build and experienced no issues on set with loss of footage, frames or any of that.
Big thanks to the Magic Lantern team for even making this a possibility! I was very pleased with the footage. More to come..

I get these files next to all the .mlv clips sometimes while doing raw recording and I'm not sure if they are important or not. Anyone know what to do with these? Thanks!

General Chat / Video Quality Charts from EOSHD
February 07, 2014, 03:00:35 AM
Now I'm not too sure if anyone has already posted about this or not but I found it super interesting. After ML unlocked raw on the 5DMark3, it jumped a whole league in cameras, landing just under the Red MX sensor. Now I don't think this list is scientific or anything, but it's just really impressive to see where this camera stands amongst the others! Big thanks to ML for everything their doing.

Raw Video / Getting the most Dynamic Range? Mark 3
February 06, 2014, 04:29:37 AM
Im curious how much Dynamic Range everyone is getting with the current builds, and how to achieve the most of it in video mode without Dual ISO or HDR recording. Currently at ISO 100 ML is reading around 11.1 Stops of DR. I've heard some people are pulling 11.5-6 stops with new ML builds, is that accurate? Thanks!

Hey guys! So after shooting a test take that was over 4gb (on a recent ML build) I noticed two files in my CF card (M01-1024.M01 and the M01-1024.MLV). I ran both files through the MLV dump application and it looks to have combined the files into one, though I think I'm missing the footage that was in the smaller folder.
I've searched, but have only found some solutions with the .RAW files and have yet to find a fix for the .MLV

Mark 3 // Recent ML Build (week or so) // Lexar 32 1000x // Shooting at 1920x818 2:35

Does anyone have any experience with this?
Thanks

Duplicate Questions / Reformatting SD w/ RAW
January 28, 2014, 02:51:26 AM
I accidentally reformatted my SD card in my camera, and lost the ML files. I dragged the old ones on, but the the camera still isn't pulling up the ML menu with the trashcan button. Any suggestions?

Received my new Mark 3 recently and absolutely loving it. I'm in the process of getting this MLV raw recording down (thanks to magic lantern!) I'm having a little bit of trouble trying to achieve 23.976 (or even 24fps) because it seems After Effects is showing my footage and composition as 30fps, even though Im shooting 1920x1080 24 (canon menu) and shooting 1920x818 with FPS Override ON 23.976 (ML Menu). This is a fairly new build, (Jan 21st I believe). Shooting on a Mark 3 w/ Lexar 34gb 1000

Am I just tripping or is there another way to confirm this? Thanks guys!
