General Help Q&A / New Stable Release?
September 24, 2014, 09:42:24 PM
Heya, I've been using Magic Lantern for some time now both on my 550D and 6D and was just wondering when there would be some sort of new/updated stable release made? Or if there will ever be....

I mean i'm fine with nightly builds, I just feel so much better when the words "stable release" comes with it. hah.

General Help Q&A / Tip Jar?
July 17, 2014, 07:21:17 PM
Magic Lantern should start a Tip Jar or something of the sort on the homepage that goes to developers for all their hard appreciated work. (if one has not been already started GOFUNDME!) as theres loads of people like myself who love the firmware, and couldn't be without it, and have a few sheckles to spare.

Just saying, I don't have any coding knowledge to speak of, but sure would like to support those who do. Also improvements for RAW and other fun things might get done quicker with a few gee dubs flyin' around :)

Just a thought.

Was figuring out the best way to shoot RAW and came up with my own kinda format for best quality, least crop, most record time. shot this on the 1728 x 526 4:1 setting in ML and 640 480 in Canons menu all at 20FPS. which gives about 15 or so seconds which is plenty for me. Heres the goods. be sure to turn HD on.

So, im testing out some footage for comparison, stability, and detail and i noticed when i put it in after effects after FINALLY matching the frame sizes best i could, there was extra pixel info on the left side (about 20pixels worth) of the frame gained while shooting 20FPS override, 1728x432, 4:1 ratio, (at canons 640x680 60fps menu setting)

Just was wondering what was up with that? and is this part of why its so unstable maybe? getting more than intended from the sensor?

Forgive me if this has been brought up im an ubber n00b
