Hello guys!

I was wondering if I could give a Custum name to my files IN camera, in order to get my projects organized. (instead of the standard "M29-2032" I could get my own "naming/numbering" convention to better suit my projects and to be able not to waste so many time just dealling with files and folders and sub folders....

I have this huge problem when I am shooting RAW because the file name dont appear in the top of the EV! (in h264 I have this information but in RAW I dont)

So, afterwards, when I am working in my projects, It gets a lot confusing and I spend hours figure things out. I am a 1 man band so, it is pretty heavy.

My camera is the 50D, so, you can Imagine how things get really hard in Post. The Sync of image to sound its, on its own, a time consuming process in our days.

Please, help me with this huge issue!

Thanks a lot guys.

Hello...

So, it looks like Canon says that if the CFcards evolve, than, more features and granted continuity will be granted in new versions of MagicLantern. Is that correct?

So, and to just make a point on the "correct" workflow, if the CFcards get to higher speeds, the resolutions will go up and that the 128GB card will be the 64GB card of nowadays. Correct?

In order to get a good workflow we need to dump this data somewhere to be able to work for 1 entire day with (virtually) no stops. So, is there any Portable device that can dump 128GB in say... 8minutes?

That way, with two cards, it would be great to work and no time lost. Could do a Documentary just to test this workflow!!

Is there any device able to do this? Like a completely portable device, with batteries and interchangable SSD with a transfer rate like SATA/USB3.0/Thunderbolt?

Thank you very much. Hope to get you oppinions on this!

Tutorials and Creative Uses / Flaat Picture Style
September 26, 2013, 06:15:27 AM
Hi guys,

I actually read the "magiclanter manual" and there is a link to "flaat picture style"

I aint got it. I am here to ask if someone uses this profiles? And if you do, what is it doing for you? What are the practical advantages to record raw in this modes? And how it affects the MLantern performance?

Thank you very much.

Hello guys, I am new in the forum but I use MagicLantern for a while...

It is amazing what the Developers managed to do and give us this amazing features on our "day by day" cameras...

So, I am familiar with ML, and even now, with all this sudden changes an upgrade features, is easy to loose track of the full capabilities of what the firmware can do to help us acheving our goals!

Therefore, I am here to try to create a Team that will create a full "breakdown" of every  feature and explain how it affects final Image... How and when to mix things... Special situations... ETC

My goal is to create a series of videos that will give a "normal" user the full knowledge and for everyone never feel like "I shouldnt touch this, it might break the camera" or the common "Never use that. It makes the LiveViewfinder look funny"

Anyone is in?

I really think this would bring MAGIC LANTERN even closer to people.
