Hey, it seems that this plug in isn't recognizing my shadow recover ISO. I believe it was 800 in this image.

I also have an image that is just at ISO 100 and the same shot. It matches the processed one almost perfectly.
Edit: Running v2.1
Here's the image in original form

General Help Q&A / Corrupted Card
May 03, 2014, 06:40:12 PM
Hello, I am on a 5d mk iii running ML and had a couple hours of footage on my SD card. Now, putting it back into my camera I can not read the card, nor can I read it on my computer. I'm guessing this isn't ML related but some advice could save my ass.
Thanks,
Painya

General Help Q&A / 5d mk ii issues
April 16, 2014, 05:41:44 AM
Disclaimer: In no way do I think this is directly related to Magic Lantern running on my mk ii, but because of the immense field of experts I am posing this question:
What is going on with my camera? Recently I have noticed this black spot on my camera while taking video. Any ideas for how to fix it?

First of all, I apologize if this question has already been asked in the forum, but I have been searching around and not found it.

How does the 50d record h.264 if it does not come with the hardware implemented in the other canon cameras? I, of course, am referring to the ominous "chipset" that Magic Lantern has not been able to access.

Why does the 30 minute limit exist on the 50d? It seems like it would not be included in the original firmware because the 50d didn't have any video capabilities before this miracle known as Magic Lantern came around.

Thanks,
Painya

Ok
So many of us have heard of Reddeercity's workflow of importing the DNG's into AEX and using dynamic link into Premier.
However this has several drawbacks including not being able to import multiple clips.

What I am proposing is moving from DNG's to TIFF's.
There would be:
-Native support in Premier
-ACR adjustment via Bridge
-Quicker conversion times (TIFF's wouldn't need to be converted into DNG's/CDNG's)

Possible drawbacks
-More Disk space required.
-You have to do ACR adjustments before import (can this be changed?)

Tragic Lantern / 30 minute limit on 6d
January 06, 2014, 12:36:24 AM
Has the thirty minute limit been beaten on the 6d? I just recorded for more than 30 minutes continuously and when I took it into PP there was no lapse. :o

Hello, I have a 550d that I am willing to donate to Magic Lantern. It does not work in photo mode (There was a shutter error so I ripped it out  >:() It shoots Liveview perfectly though. I live in the US (Oregon), and would take paypal for shipping. I thought the Dual ISO H.264 would be an awesome thing to work on it with, but it is ultimately up to the DEV. If more than one dev wants it I will let you sort it out.
Hope this helps,

Share Your Videos / Football Highlight video
October 27, 2013, 09:21:52 PM
Hello I made this video (shot mostly in H.264, but some RAW) I used focus peaking, and without it the video would have been much harder to produce. Also many of the Overlays.

I primarily used the 70-200 2.8, and the 35mm f2. Shot exclusively on the Canon 6d. To all the Devs looking at this. Thank you. I can't thank you enough.

Feature Requests / MJPEG
October 17, 2013, 03:18:35 AM
Ok this may be a bit of a long shot, but last I checked it wasn't on the Troll question list ::)

MJPEG- With MJPEG (I am speculating here) we could possibly get higher resolutions (I am not proposing 4k or anything like that) just like we see in RAW crop mode (2000x1080 is the best I can get on my 50d I am not sure how it is with the 5d's or 7d).

With an alternate codec the possibility of overcranking (just 35 fps not anything crazy.) could become more stable.

I realize that with RAW the first step to realizing the awesome developments has been to take a silent DNG picture so wouldn't that need to be replicated but in a Jpeg form? Theoretically the camera already records JPEG's so that is a definite plus. Or could, because less processing power would be required by the camera because it is not RAW video, an HDMI out be configured (speculating here) to the desired frame rate and resolution.

Some extra advantages of this crazy idea could be sidecar deflicker files recorded with each individual low res Jpeg.

(stretch question) Would this help reduce traditional DSLR issues such as moire?
Just throwing ideas out there and trying to help in any way I can.  :D

General Chat / Music
October 17, 2013, 03:01:18 AM
I hope this can be thread where be can share the sites they get music from. Like an unlicensed music site, or even a certain artist you love.
-I am not asking for the songs you are going to use yourself because that is your own secret ;), but I want to start a helpful thread where people can find sources for music.
Personally, I get a lot of my music from http://incompetech.com/music/royalty-free/ or off of a site listed on this page https://creativecommons.org/legalmusicforvideos
Hopefully we can get something going here :D
-Thanks,
Painya

General Help Q&A / Dual ISO workflow issue
October 07, 2013, 05:47:34 AM
Hello and welcome to this topic 8)
I have taken several photos with the dual ISO module, and when dragging the photo onto the "cr2hdr" application it tells me that I am missing the cygwin1.dll. Easy fix right? I installed cygwin, and redownloaded the cr2hdr the next day. But the same problem persists. I have located the .dll file on my computer even. I am using a 6d, on the October 4th build.
Thank you.

Bulb timer! Then in Photoshop I combined 10 30 minute exposures for an incredibly bizzare image. Thank you magic Lantern!

After I took some Dual_ISO pictures, and imported them directly from my card into LR, or Camera RAW, the line blending was done automatically. Has anyone else had this experience? This is on the most recent nightly build (or one from two days ago). It does take the program a little bit of time (2-3 seconds) to create the XMP, and with my experience Camera RAW is quicker.

General Help Q&A / MLV2CDNG
October 03, 2013, 05:25:36 AM
Hello, I was wondering if there is a MLV2CDNG converter available or in testing. I am not asking when it will be done because I know it will be done when it gets done  ;). I did search around, but if I missed a thread please point me towards it.
Many thanks,
Painya

Feature Requests / [REMOVED] Bulb Ramping
September 20, 2013, 01:24:31 AM
I have noticed that there is no Bramping on the nightly build for the 6d. Has this been replaced by the sidecar files? If not I would like to see that:).

Raw Video / Most recent RAW module
September 09, 2013, 06:33:30 AM

I am having an issue of getting a working RAW module on my 6d. Everything else on ML works, and I have the modules in place they just seem to be old or don't work. Anyone know where to get them?

What happened to the intervalometer and bulb ramping in the newest build (for the 550d)? Or am I just missing something.
