I have been out of the ML game for a while and trying to play catch up now.

Is it possible to import ML DNG straight in to Premiere Pro CC? I gave it a go tonight and I received pink tint.  The playback was silky smooth which was awesome, but unfortunately not usable due to the tint. I assume this is to Premiere Pro having CUDA support?

Also, is there a reason why AE CC would be tediously slow in previewing/exporting, is it because it does not have CUDA support?

Here is a reference frame to explain what is happening:

I was watching a tutorial that showed how to apply Lightroom corrections to Davinci Resolve via editing the trim lut file...

However, in my Windows Resolve version I don't seem to have a trim lut file?

Any thoughts on where it might be? Or a workflow where I can make a 'look' in lightroom then recreate it in Resolve?

Raw Video Postprocessing / Lightroom to Davinci Resolve
November 10, 2013, 04:05:06 AM
I really can't get my head around Resolve for my style of shooting (interior real estate / outdoor landscapes).

I love RAW video > Lightroom but the exporting is ridiculously slow as it does not use the graphics card.

Is it possible to create a 'look' in Lightroom and then import it in to Resolve for exporting? Perhaps save the metadata to file?

Sorry, I have no idea if it's possible or not.

Following on from here: http://www.magiclantern.fm/forum/index.php?topic=7699.msg67302#msg67302

I'll put up $100 (AUD) to whoever can implement a way to have Auto Exposure RAW Video with gradual exposure changes.

Problem:
Currently when shooting Auto Raw Video, the ISO changes with hard stops (in playback you will go from bright to dark with no gradual increase).

$100 Solution:
Some automated/reasonably automated method of having the ISO changes gradually change in playback. Preferred method: XMP sidecars; or something in LightRoom that automatically normalises the changes.
*Must be compatible with 5D3
*Must be automated with minimal legwork in post
*Result must be smooth and natural

Payment:
$100 (AUD) paid via PayPal to the person that develops this. They can choose to have it paid to them, to ML, or to a charity if they wish.

----

Other things on the wish list - these do not affect the $100, the $100 is JUST for the above.
Auto Exposure Dual ISO Video
This may not be possible, but the way I envision it would be:
1) Set the low ISO limit range - ie between 100 and say 400
2) Set the preferred range - ie +2EV
3) It will dynamically make the changes with the available light within the range specified in 1)

Raw Video - Auto Exposure Set By ETTR
It would be awesome if the auto exposure values were set by auto-ETTR too :)

Raw Video / 5D3 - Raw Video Auto Exposure - Hard Stops
August 16, 2013, 09:10:00 AM
When recording with auto exposure in .h264 you get nice gradual changes of exposure. When in Raw recording you get hard stops of exposure (I assume ISO changes).

Is there any way to have auto exposure with smooth exposure changes in auto mode?

General Help Q&A / Dynamic Whitebalance in Movie Mode?
August 09, 2013, 01:09:53 AM
Is it possible to implement dynamic auto whitebalance in movie mode? Currently it appears that once in movie mode the whitebalance stays the same for the entire shot.

It would be great if the white balance could subtly change to match the light sources in auto mode.

General Help Q&A / 550D Auto Video - Whitebalance
August 04, 2013, 10:18:08 AM
I shoot a lot of interiors with my 550D, going from one light source to another while continuously recording. The 550D doesn't seem to adjust the white balance for some reason - is this normal or is there a fix for this?

If I stop the record it adjusts properly, just not while recording.
