Series of random shots from downtown Reykjavík at sundown.
Designed as nothing else but a test for the Canon 5D MKII RAW video mode.
This is NOT an absolute technical test by any means. It's shot with an off-axis 24mm f/1.8 and a thousand year old 400mm Vivitar lens. Neither great optically or technically. Also some of the stuff doesn't even have sharp focus.
What I was looking for was high contrast situation with really rough highlights and how much information you could pull back under heavy grading.
It's sharp but not dramatically so and you really do need a VAF filter since moiré and aliasing as bad or even worse than in the standard shooting mode.
dynamic range and IQ are however dramatically improved overall and it's quite amazing how much detail you can pull back as long as you try to expose to the right right at the limit of blowing the highlights.
