hello group.
I'll bet someone has solved this. I searched here and elsewhere and couldn't find a permanent solution.

When I load and use ML (recent build, less than a month old), for some reason it tends to use the SD card instead of the CF card. I want to load the ML firmware off of SD card, and use the CF card for video.
I've tried in Card Settings using the Card Test, CF card workaround, and Preferred Card (CF) but it still wants to write to the SD card (which it can't handle so there are tons of frame skipping)

I have a couple Komputerbay 64gb cards and they work at about 90mb/sec. I can sustain about 10 seconds of video at 1920x1080p before a frame drops. I've spent about 6 months doing RAW now, so im up to speed on tweaks, etc. 
I'm looking to go to the best level available, but it seems like no one really talks about that.

What are people using for this?
I DONT want speculation, nor someone to read me the specs. I want advice from pro's who say "i spent $XXX money on YYY and it works"

Shooting video with an Aug build set and I see the great square on the screen which is offset to the left.
I thought it was just my field monitor, but its on the Canon screen as well. Is there a fix for this?

I'm having a hard time opening .RAW files with raw2dng with the Aug 30th build.
I've done this a few times before without issue, and raw2dng creates .dng files fine.
Anyone else?

Im finding that while shooting pictures with Aug 30th build, some settings are sticky on power off/on.
Normally, I want everything OFF.
but im noting that these are toggled back on, even when battery is removed:
-Follow Focus
-Focus Settings
-GLobal Draw On
-Zebras
-Spotmeter
-Histogram

anyone else?

ive noted that since loading new versions of ML, I now have to change the playback rate of the normal (not RAW) video back at .802 percent to keep it in sync with the audio-- which has been music videos lately. any ideas?

hey gang--- im excited by all this RAW work lately and appreciate all the effort.

I have a technical question. According to the specs, the sensor is capable of 5760 x 3840 (in picture mode) and can output 6 frames per second (not sure if these are mutually exclusive or not).
Now with this in mind, could ML make their software work (for video) but in picture mode, and do the same intercept that they are doing in video mode to write 6fps (and eventually greater) to a .raw file?

in this case we could have 5.7k of video frames to assemble.

I am new to ML, but im a computer nerd, so i'm halfway there.

Going thru the install steps:
1.) downgrade to 1.1.3. Low level format CF/SD card in camera.
2.) load 5D3-113-bootflag.fir on CF/SD card
3.) inserted into 5Dmk3, load this via regular firmware load. screen will go weird looking for ML directory/fonts
4.) power off camera. load ML directory and autoexec.bin file
5.) load via regular firmware load.

at this point, I get the "EnableBootDisk " message.

Any help greatly appreciated!
