I recently visited Lake District to shoot a short video.
I shot this with my Canon DSLR, Magic Lantern V2.3 and Technicolor Cinestyle.
The two main features of ML that I was using were the intervalometer for shooting time lapse photography, and a feature that allowed me to view in Standard picturestyle, but record to Cinestyle picturestyle.
Would be great to hear what you think of the video

Share Your Videos / 2013 Filmmaking Reel
December 30, 2013, 11:34:10 PM

I'm a student filmmaker in London, studying my first year of a digital film production course. I am aiming to work in the camera department.
I put together a showreel of most of the things i have shot this year, and a little from last year. Compared to the reel I had last year (non existent), I am really happy with my progress and can't wait for another year of filmmaking. I use ML for most of my DSLR work now, and you will also see some ML time lapse photography at the end of my reel

I would love to see everyone elses reels as well.

Share Your Videos / ''For Her'' Short Film
November 10, 2013, 12:14:13 AM
This short film was my groups first university project, we had to create a short film, 2:20 maximum time limit - a film that we would be able to enter into festivals to give us a good start on the university course.
We shot this with a Canon 6D and a Canon 600D DSLR using features of ML such as focus peaking, with 24-70mm and a 135mm lens
I would like to hear thoughts and feedback, as I am always wanting to learn how to make my work better.
My role on this film was Director of Photography, so feedback about the camerawork would be nice, even though there are limited shots within this film.

Here is another short I recently produced. Just something simple I shot around London Chinatown, mainly as I am new to London I just wanted to explore a little.
This mini doc contains video clips and ends with a few photography time lapses that I shot using Magic Lantern on my Canon 600D DSLR. Various lenses used including 18-135mm, 28mm, 50mm and a 58mm lens.
Feedback welcome

General Help Q&A / Bulb ramping sunset time lapse help
September 24, 2013, 08:48:56 PM

I shot my first day to night time lapse last night using sunset auto bulb ramping on magic lantern 2.3, on my canon 600d.
I shot using all manual settings.
I got a lot of flicker still as the sun set, and was wondering if anyone could offer any tips for getting rid of flicker in camera, as I always prefer getting things right in camera than editing in post.

Here is a short time lapse I shot last night. I feel comfortable that I am ready for doing longer time lapses now, spending a few hours shooting instead of one.
Shot with canon 600d, 18-135mm, f3.5, iso 800, 25 exposure, magic lantern 30 second intervals

Went out last night to have another star time lapse attempt.
Wasn't very successful as the moon decided to rise from the horizon unexpectedly about 10 minutes into the time lapse, causing the stars to disappear.

I also made a star trail photo - https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=401593036622625&set=a.365237203591542.1073741825.259801137468483&type=1&theater

I have been very busy shooting time lapses over the past week, would be great to get some feedback on them, or thoughts on if you like them or not :)
