Hi.. I'm working on my new timelapse project and I'm looking for best way to remove objects (people, cars etc) from single frames... I would like to create some mask and fill it with contents of next or previous frame. I can't find any tutorial.. please help

Hi

I'm trying to connect Anker Astro external battery to Canon 5D3 using DR-E6 option (battery with cable). I've found this guide http://www.diyphotography.net/external-canon-battery-lasts-9-times-longer/ . It looks like it doesn't work on 5D3.. Maybe 9V is to much for this camera. It should be ~8V.
Maybe some of you know how to connect it properly ?

I'm trying to find a solution to fix a Lightroom 5.3. It's very slow and unusable with a lot of files to edit especially when I'm trying to right click on image and select some options. I've got hackintosh with OSX 10.9.3, 32GB Ram and ssd disk for system and Lightroom catalogs. It doesn't matter if I start with a fresh catalog or with catalog full of images. When I'm trying to right click on image it takes few seconds to respond with options. How should I debug this issue ?

What do you think about option in MLV_REC to capture frames using intervalometer settings instead of fps ?  We can add one option in MLV_REC menu to capture 1 frame every N seconds (1 frame every X frames; X = N seconds * fps). It would be nice to record timelapse videos with MLV_REC. Now we can set FPS to min. value but I think it's to fast for timelapse..

During recording with mlv_rec in top right corner we've got current free space on card. It's not refreshed unit restart of camera. It would be nice to update it after each shot or every N seconds.

I'm trying to compile mlv_dump on Mac OSX. Make ends with this error:
mlv_dump.c:1456:34: error: no member named 'buffer' in 'struct raw_info'

Maybe someone know how to compile it sucessfully on Mac ?

Timelapses shot in standard photo mode and raw video with fps override (no flickering at all).
h264 compression destroyed a lot of details but it's still much better than h264 from the camera.

I've found a function called lv_set_raw in a rom for 60D.

Davinci Resolve 9.1.5 can open 14bit DNG sequences so we can import files created by raw2dng without issues now. I've just added Frame Rate tag to chdk-dng.c and raw2dng. Resolve reads this tag properly.

I removed all garbage from chdk-dng including all unnecessary tags, tags not filled up by ML and thumbnail. There is only ifd0 with all required tags to open DNG file properly (just like in cinemadng files). I tested it ACR and RawTherapee and it works fine.

I think it it would be nice to have an option to set a little delay (1-5 sec) between pressing a rec button and start of capturing raw frames. On cameras with slow sd card interface we need as much frames as possible but pressing a rec button can generate little shake at the beginning of a capture. I can try to do it..

I've just enabled CAMERA_RAW_PHOTO and I think it works We have now access to RAW zebras, Auto ETTR and Post deflicker.

Hi all 60D users

I prepared special version of autoexec.bin like 550D user mk11174 and RAW video works now on 60D This ML version has only few options enabled. I've got no skills to fix 60D's boot problems with full ML package with modules and tcc enabled so I removed everything except ability to record raw videos and load modules.

So..

- install latest Magic Lantern nightly build and check whether ML is working

We can record videos with max resolution set to 1734x976 (16:9).

You should to remenber that:
- Max LiveView RAW in 60D is 1734x1156
- Camera can write max 20MB/s, full HD needs 90-100MB/s
- There is no special RAW_REC module for 60D, it's the same file like for 5D, 550D, 6D etc.

I've just modified latest ML source based on 500D & 550D modifications and now I'm able to get DNG silent pics from 60D (1736x1156).

RAW_PHOTO_EDMAC 0xc0f04A08 (the same as for 500D, 550D and others) - I'm totally new to ML development so I don't know if it's correct value but it works.
