Hi there on old topic, i got the same problem and it is nothing to do with ML. Still digging on that Switch always on and no matter it is on or off. I even change whole ribbon cable with switch and problem is still there. I presume there are some hardware issues. Maybe ribbon cable connector on Main board or some problems with Power board. I checked all Fuses there and they are ok - "i think i checked all of them"

So... Have the author "jfro" solved it and where are the problem? Will be nice to know because i cannot get it to work.

MiRawViewer not working well on OSX High sierra, there are some glitches.
When hover with mouse pointer on miraw app window the pointer dissapears and it works bad there

Anyway there are long time without updates.

chmee dont panic, everything is fine this forum is for sharing ideas and work. And there we are, to inspire each other, without that ML was impossible. Look how many things and tools, improvements are found here.

if we starting to stop each other, then we lost the idea of this community.

and we don't need codec for all apps, we can start with little try. if someone want do it. No problem with that. it is just idea...

chmee - don't really understand what you mean by that. I been supporter for ML for long time and i post here not so often, and ideas always been challenging and i do not say that it is easy task.

i don't have any problems with FFMpeg and anyway, this is not thematic for this thread!

i remember in past when i get idea about DSLR RAW somewhere here on forum and i get replied that it is not possible, after 6 months of researching somebody finaly get done it. so.... I think this story about RAW Plugin and API integration for third party apps will come to life.

I come up with idea with a ML RAW video plugin to integrate it like all plugins works under OS X

I`m not a programmer, but somebody with knowledge can investigate its work on this.
since MiRAW has capability to play .RAW video files without converting them to .dng - i think we can integrate MiRAW code into OS X system like a plugin to play .RAW natively. (similar to RED RAW .R3D) or how any other plugins works.

This looks like you used 10x mode, which is known not to work. Stick to 5x.

taking video in crop mode 1920x720 with latest build it is almost impossible to record normal video, every 2 or third shot is unusable. For me it looks like some code problems of proper frame ordering, it packs .RAW file with errors of frame order. maybe buffer issue, not enougt power or speed to calculate this process...

Other folks with 5DII are using it too just hit the 5x zoom botton with raw video on and press record, its that simple!

Ok, i find the problem, there must be magic zoom set in all modes in ML menu and then it worked like a charm

What Raw record module built are you using ?
make sure you are in the ML menu and not the canon menu
and also you must be in 5X magnification mode not 10X
hope that helps

Nothing... trying several times without success
trying also all RAW module builds - nothing....

You are sure you have 5D Mark II and not mark III?

Press the 5x/10x magnification button on the top right hand side
 then go back to the ML menu & select frame sizes up to 2K etc..

Hi All 
on July 16th 10:40pm MST i did a 3x crop test on the july 11th built which had 3 bad frames out of 5700 frames.
What i found very interesting is the framing is off a little.
Basically i let the moon pass though the crop window until it was gone in the preview window.
But it did not as you see, if you watch the whole Video until the end 
I have not tried the new built yet to see if this is still a problems.
But at any rate i put some music on from vimeo so i hope everyone enjoy it 

   

Edit: 200mm with 2x extender = 400mm @f 5.6
in crop mode 3x = 1200mm
ISO 200 with ML -0.3 = 160 ISO, i think 

to see the original 2K file i uploaded it to YouTube

Hey Cosmo since you are the expert picture style maker here , I have another request if that is not a problem, as for ISO25 setting there are a problem with it as it will give a pinkish cast if you use it. Would you think you be able to make a picture style that would clean it. That be a big help for the community so people would be able to use that low iso with less of a problem and dont need to color correct afterwards. Try out the iso25 and see if you could do it. Thanks in advance m8

For quick answer i can say that this is possible
Just returned from vacation from Mallorca - rested and tested out my new picture profile "ARRI" worked on it for almost a month, so i give to it final touch and get to Wishlists in upcoming days

Thanks for clearing it up! Any possibility of more isolated colors picture style for like blue? Especially be cool if for instance filming certain companies isolated the company colors.

This is written in C#, which is a Windows language. There might be some solutions to compile this for Mac using tools like Mono. I'll see if I can manage to try it out when I find some free time

The DIGIC 4 has a structure called "PoP," which is composed of two stacked semiconductor packages. We looked inside the packages using an X-ray machine and discovered that there were two chips in the upper package.

So, we removed the upper package with a chemical solution and exposed the chips.

There were two types of memory manufactured by Samsung Electronics Co Ltd.
The upper chip was 64-Mbit NOR flash memory, the "K8P6415UQB," which measured 6,040 x 3,910 x 80?m.
The lower one was 512-Mbit SDRAM, the "K4X51323PE," whose dimensions were 8,220 x 7,545 x 110?m.

* (Preparation step) Ensure that latest EOS Utility is installed.

1. Download a picture style 
2. Connect the EOS DIGITAL camera to the personal computer via a USB cable, and start up EOS Utility.
    Click “Camera settings/Remote shooting” on the main window.

   

3. Once the capture window opens, click the camera icon, and then click “Register User Defined style”.


*A different screen is displayed when connecting with other than
EOS-1Ds Mark III / EOS-1D Mark III / EOS 50D
/ EOS 40D / EOS 500D / EOS REBEL T1i / EOS 450D
/ EOS REBEL XSi / EOS 1000D / EOS DIGITAL REBEL XTi
/ EOS REBEL XS.

4. Click “Register User Defined style”.


5.    Select one of “User Def. 1~3” in “Register Picture Style File”.

*    If a Picture Style file has already been registered under the same setting number, the existing setting will be overwritten.

6. Click


7. Select a Picture Style file (extension .pf2)

Not sure, but isnt this quite easy to do in post and also in post can get more different range of isolated colors.

If you have RAW video - then yes, but from DSLR (it is not so easy) and second, you will be in big trouble on half color tones and shadows in post.
Footage from DSLR's are flat, compressed video - this mean that in post you will need to do lot af hard work, like "create masks, layers and you will be in big trouble with human skin - it has Red, Yellow and pink color tones + 100 and 1 step to create look like my example.

P.S. Before shooting with this picture style - you need ajust White balance to get a great results!

i have also profile for green screen shooting - it take out all shadows on green and make it perfect green - "for post production this is most wanted feature"
i give to this profile some final touch and also make a release.

Worked on it more than week and I call it "SinCity"
