Waiting for devs answer  :)

Could you redo test on a white surface stopped down to around 5.6 or higher? Then upload two short example mlv files or one dng of each take.

Here s the stills in dng format

Of course, little bit later, not at home now

Don't see any changes with sharpness, BUT I can only check it in 5x3 binning mode, need devs here to look closer

Hi all
Found something interesting with dealing focus pixels, adjusting adtg2{8190} from 0x10 to 0xf almost reduce focus pixels from capture RAW  files, looks like work in blue channel pixels

https://youtu.be/gFNYpiKoQoI

First take with 0x10 second with 0xf
Focus pixels correction mapping is off in MLV app
Please watch in 4k
Its a standart 5x3 mode, because adtg module doesnt work with cropmood , and I'm not a developer :(

Hi guys,
Could you help me to understand why my sd card's performance is so poor? Can I do something (different settings) to reach that level I can see on the images above? Or I should buy a new one from the list you refer above?

The camera: Canon EOS 700D
The build I'm using: crop_rec_4k.2022May25.700D115
The SD card: Kingston CANVAS Go! Plus, 128 GB, 170 MB/s, U3, V30
Please have a look at the link below. The result is shockingly poor, even though overclocked it according the description in here, setting it to 240MHz.

Thanks in advance.

Something went wrong, have two same Micro sd's and it can easy get around 78 mb/s when I'm recording

My location is in China,I got the Samsung Pro Plus sdxc 512G tested today, very disappointed. This card will drop speed on eosm with sd overclocking .
ML version is "crop moon"april 18.The 240hz got very good result on either benchmarks and real raw recording at first. But after a minute or two,the R/W speed dropped to 20MB/s range, resulting a halt in recording.Do a off and on of the camera, the circle repeated.Changing the mode to 50 or the speed to 192MHz will not solve the problem.
By changing the buffer size in benchmark test ,I notice when the buffer size is bigger ,the recording speed seems to be normal, when the buffer size is smaller, the speed dropped to 20MB/s.
I also replaced another version of sd overclocking module file,it seems to be a little better, but the speed drop still existed.I will return the samsung ,get another card and continue to find the best priced card for ML.
Last card I'm buy is Samsung Pro Plus 256 gb micro SD version
Got around 80mb/s with 240mhz hack

Hey Danne,
can you clarify something for me? In the "data format" submenu help text, are the recommended iso settings to aid with a more efficient compression rate? Or is there a quality improvement to be had by following the suggested iso ranges? Obviously a lower iso results in a cleaner image, no question about that but where it says "14-bit recommended iso less than 100" or "12-bit lossless recommended iso 100-1600" are there any side effects other than an increased bitrate and noise when shooting high iso?

Hi, in my practice 14 bit uncompressed cleaner at all iso's in the shadows than 10/12 bits

@pepper_chip @essbe

Try changing Access Mode to SDR50, restart camera, does 192 MHz work again?
(try on Kingston Canvas Go! SD card)

Yeah, nothing change, 160 mHz works, another 192 mHz and 240 mHz shows low speed 20 21 mbs

+ 1

On previous builds my canvas go 128 gb and 256 works in 160 mHz and 192 mHz overlooking and show 80 when Im recording recording,  with last build they works only on 160 mHz  :-[

Inreresting. Applies to other presets as well?

I'm almost sure our "focus pixels" in fact exposure meter dots. But I can't recheck it becouse dont understand how I can "catch" moment what register is off "metering" (I'm trying edit regs from ADTG.mo
I'm just not a developer so I could be wrong in my "theory"

Hi Danne, look, I'm experimenting with registers in advanced mode dropdown menu and found somesing interest with cmos6 register. When I set it in 0xe8d, refresh, and waiting for around 1-2 minutes vertical stripes from preview are gone, I'm record footage, then when I open it in MLV app and set to off any raw corrections I don't see any focus dots in Frame.

I'm not a developer, but maybe you can to recheck it and to do a testing build?

Example:
Regular 1080p, last build, 14 bits, fix focus dots is off, chroma smooth is off,bad pixel Mapp is off

https://youtu.be/LUw7P_xlGKI

And what I think, we try fixed not a Focus dots, its seems more like a Exposition Metter pixels, becouse if you look in front of sensor you see it.
