What do you mean with "double tap"?
- Do you tap twice using the same finger?
or
- Do you tap with two fingers at the same time?
the latter - as i understood that's how to access ML.
but now you mention it, i've tried your first option now, and that doesn't work either.

Sorry, everyone can upload a video somewhere and link it here.

Q1: Toggle screens with INFO button. Is ML screen there?
Q2: Access C.Fn IV (6) and change Trashcan button function from 2 to 0. Does it work now?
Q1 - no it isn't
Q2 - yes it does, thanks

weird about the tapscreen ML option not working

sorry - but i already said - can't upload a video.

but i've already confirmed that ML confirms installation and instructs me to reboot camera. I do this but after reboot double-tap nor Trash button load ML.

If you cannot access ML menu you likely haven't installed it properly. Redo installation. You know you have to press trashcan for > 1 seconds? You have to wait until circle fills up.
sorry, but i have reinstalled it - three times, following three successive formats.
ML confirms it is installed and requests the reboot. upon reboot the double-tap or trash press do not access Ml menus

Remove battery, remove card. Delete contents of ML\Settings. Insert card and battery. Retry.
all done, still the same result.

touchscreen is working fine for normal menu use.
however, double-tap not working despite full reinstall. pressing trash only brings up ISO settings.

Press trashcan for some seconds.
If it doesn't work: Reinstall by using Firmware update. ML settings will be unaffected.
sorry. not a chance. i had the intervalometer set in ML, so every powerup starts the intervalometer - even though i'd turned it off after last use.
so now the trashcan (no matter how long i press it) only ever brings up the option to delete an image

an update to this:
i've reinstalled ML and the message comes up to confirm this "reboot". I've done this but the double-tap still gets no response. press and hold Trash only ever brings up ISO settings.

General Help Q&A / Re: EOS M - Timelapse
March 27, 2021, 03:11:59 PM
one thing i forgot to add:
i'm wondering if the timelapse can be created both within the camera itself, and - how i do this.

and also a way to use the intervalometer to create dozens of still images to create a timelapse from windows software later - once the images have been edited etc.

what are the actions required to create an "in camera" timelapse, and conversely, what are the actions required to create dozens of individual images via intervalometer?
as I said, new to all of this.

thanks

General Help Q&A / EOS M - Timelapse

Hi

Completely new to ML and recently acquired an EOS M - I've installed ML on this to be able to use the intervalometer.

Never having used ML before, would someone be able to help get me "up and running" with this.

I'd like to do some night sky imaging with a Samyang F2.8 lens, so I'd be looking at:
around 50 images @ ISO 800, shutter speed 5 secs.

what settings do I need to apply - and where, in ML?

thanks

one other question:
intervalometer setting of 10 secs - is that time between shutter firing, or gap between shutter close and then next firing?
