REALLY great seeing updates here!
I'll repeat what i posted on the official 70D topic:
I have one 70D and one EOS M right now, if developers (hello ArcziPL) want to test anything, can count on me.

edit: just adding a little request here, if possible: is it possible to add the option to choose if pressing SET will skip or load ML? I find myself using the 70D more like a photo camera and not using the ML that much, so would be great not having to press SET every time i turn the camera on, only when i need ML to boot up.

Hi every one, can somebody tell is it possible in future to make a proper real time framing in crop modes? and also is it possible to make reviewing the mlv files more smothly in file manager in camera?

Smoothly, as said above, nope... but you can change to exact and fast, then you'll get a B&W preview almost in real time playback (20~24fps) in-camera

Some things about cards and the 70D build:

I have one 70D and one EOS M right now, if developers want to test anything specially with the 70D (danne is doing some AWESOME work updating the EOS M already), count with me.

About the cards: The fastest i've been able to get on the 70D was about 70mb/s with an Adata v90 128Gb UHS-II with fixed overclock on 160Mhz:

Even the Extreme Pro reaches just about that  on the 70D, while it reaches around 85mb/s with the EOS M.

Something i just thought: in ML since we have the info on focal distance used, aperture, depth of field and others, do we have the info on the rotation of the STM (or FTM USM) ring? If yes, would it be possible to use that info to replicate the RF control ring (change ISO, WB, etc)?

Nice, thank you!
Working ok here. I missed the "press SET to" load/skip ML on startup feature, is this anything easy to implement?

Hello guys, nice to see the 70D thread's still active.
The 07/mar/19 build is working better than the 15/mar/19? What's not working?

I'm buying the 70D now to be my primary camera alongside with the M for ML.
The latest build for the 70D is the one from mar/19?
What's working and what's not? I've read a lot of this thread and posted links but i didn't seem to be able to sum up the working bits.

VERY nice, great work here.
I'm temporarily with a 1300D, alongside with the M and the 1200D. Let me know if i can help with anything

Nice, worked great just by excluding all the ML folders except SETTINGS and copying the new build. Everything's working great so far. I'm using the ADATA V90 UHS-II 128Gb 270mb/s that is not that very fast in UHS-I compatibility (around 50-60mb/s), then i'm not able to record much time in 2.5k or 2.8k. Already bought the Sandisk Extreme 170.

Two questions:
1- I'm seeing the effort to get higher resolutions with crop, but is it possible to get higher resolution than the actual 976p without crop? I've seen in other threads some cameras reaching almost 1080p without cropping
2- For the 70D any of these new changes and builds are applicable? (i've seen that some functions are shared with other cameras like the 6D, is that right?) Or the newest build is the one from mar/19?

I must say, Danne, you're a hero!
It's a 2012 camera and we're seeing 4k+ RAW video coming out of it... that's insane.
There's any way that i could support you? I've seen you also work on other models builds and i'm thinking of getting a 70D as my primary camera with ML (flip screen, wifi, viewfinder, DPAF)... would you recommend it?

Anyway, returning to the M, can i just overwrite the files of the old build with the new ones in the SD or do i need to uninstall ML, format the card and reinstall it? I usually have some footage in my SD, specially when traveling, and would be great if i didn't need to backup the files to my phone (do not have a computer rn) then put it back into the SD to update the build.

tldr: can i just copy the new build into the sd and replace the files to update the build?

Guys, thank you for all the effort to port ML to the M2.
The lack of wifi or USB remote shooting of the original M is the biggest downside of it for me.
I'm thinking of getting the M2 to replace my M because fo that feature, but not having the 2.5K RAW 24fps is putting me back. That's the mode i use more often (95% of the time).
Is anyone working on that port right now? (since the lastest build is from may 2020)
