About the problem with external monitor, i made some test based on your video but the only resolution that work properly seems to be the 1080p.
I test with lilliput a5 and also test a cellphone with hdmi/usb converter
The resut is the same....

At 2.5k frtp (that is a resolution that i use) the result as the same of Nibby99.
At this point i try to change something in Canon Menu as the language (i am italian) and video system from PAL to NTSC, and also i change the resolution of recorded video at 720p or less with strange results.

In your eos M wich language, video system, rec resolution you use??
I think to make some random test ...at this point...

I have tested "M RAW 2021 JUNE26 Settings.zip" from Zeek (Danne release with Zeek configs) and with 2k preset on external monitor (my Lilliput A5) is ok but 2.5 preset NO.
Then i have tested "EOS-M Zeek Settings [Danne Build FEB04].zip" and with 2.5 k preset is OK.
At this point i will test the "crop_rec_4k_mlv_snd_raw_only_2021Feb04.EOSM202.zip"

I have the same problem of Nibby99 with my new Lilliput A5 with "crop_rec_4k_mlv_snd_raw_only_2021Jun26.EOSM202"
Later i try some old release.

And here is the first Magic Lantern feature for RP: Close shutter when turning the camera off. For some reason this is only available on R, R6 and R5 but not for RP... At least until today .

A this point the second feature can be silent shutter in all modes.........

Works in M, Av, Tv and P both in single and continuous modes. Works fine with interval timer. Fails with ERR70 in bulb.
