A further update....
Using a fully (100%) charged battery, rather than the AC adaptor I could get the camera to boot.
As soon as I connected it with USB to my computer I got error code "Err 80"

I have now uninstalled ML to remove the boot flag.
A reset all factory defaults and updated to latest Canon firmware (1.1.

As soon as I take a shot, I get an error code "Err 70" - seems like while trying to write to the SD card.
I have put a new card in now, not the one ML was installed on.

I have been using ML since December on my 70D. No issues at all.
Mostly I use the camera as a webcam connected to my PC with HDMI and USB.

Yesterday I noticed an error code "Err" had appeared on the top LCD. I didn't look at the number (unfortunately). I removed the battery (AC adaptor) and reinserted it and the camera came back to life.

I didn't think anything more of it, until this morning when it would not switch on.
There are no signs of life, no display on top are read LCD. The SD card red light does not show anything either.
The only display I have got out of it was inserting a completely empty battery, and when I did the empty battery symbol displays on the top LCD.

Things I have tried so far:
- Removing Battery, SD and Lens
- Booting without SD
- Starting it up in every combination on the rotary dial
- Trying a different (blank) SD card
- Portable display test - no output
- LED blink test - no output

I wasn't hopefully about the last two as the SD card light is not illuminating, so presumably it is not reading from the SD card.

I have the ROM0 and ROM1 BIN files I made when I first installed ML.

Any ideas before I have to send it off for repair?

Thank you!
