don't get me wrong i own many 35mm lenses  and i use it on a 3 camera set up for b cam in fact i just did a wedding on eos m no ml to much crop but it is hard lens i find for main camera and i do lots of shooting outside vlog style for that efs or efm wide zooms are the best i like the fried chicken video it just looks right with that lens thank you for sharing your videos .

35mm f 2.0 not good for aps c sensor it is hardly a good focal lens for full frame sensor , its a uphill battle from there with ml crop walking around with telephoto and shooting video ??? i am not trying to be negative but composition is very important if your using crop senor camera you almost always have to go wide but not full frame wide.that is why most high end zoom start even wider than 35mm  it is a very common mistake that happens investing in a fast lens that was made for full frame camera but trying to use on crop sensor and when you mix ml crop on top not a very good look.i am sure you have seen zeeks videos covering eosm with wider lenses (shout out to zeek yeye ) you would have been better off if you used wide zoom like efs 10-18mm IS , and it would not have mattered that it is a slower lens because its outside. bokeh is  a good look but you have to learn to mange it and its not easy when walking around and not using a nd filter ,tripod. so that 35 mm lens would be good for portrait or sports you have to treat it like a telephoto lens or portrait lens because of the crop factors.i hope this helps you plan your next video and think ahead what your shooting and what you need to get it done tripod filters lens etc.

Reverse Engineering / Re: UHS-I / SD cards investigation

there are  three cards that i want to try Lexar professional silver series 1066x uhs1 120 MB/s write speed 160 MB/s read ,new Samsung PRO PLUS same specs . and Kingston canvas go plus but has lower specs 90MB/s write but claims 170 MB/S read speed ...note that these are claims that they are making . not me although i did order new card readers by kingston sandisk to test on computer ..i think i read some were that they are using  DDR208 controller on the UHS 1 pins to get higher read speeds

i bought a 77d when it 1st came out and still waiting for development  of ml ,i would recommend getting a canon sl3 for clean output and selling your 77d  cause it will be a awhile before a developer gets ml fully working on your 77d

here is a link for current canon models with hdmi

as far as your m6 markii has clean hdmi !!

@ 2blackbar
i was curious because they had this in stock in local store ,walmarts usually are open 24hr pre cov-19 and if your in a bind one can pick one up anytime,i bought like 15 cards before they were pny Elite-X on my 5ti i get 28 mb/s 128gb card and 33mb/s on 32gb micro sd ,thought it had some thing to do with the adapter but after trying several same results i just bought the eos m and wanted to try sd cards instead micro ,i think onn. cards are made by PNY cause the specs are almost identical to the elite -x cards and walmart stop carrying pny cards. i will try some SanDisk Extreme PRO recommended by zeek only ten bucks more thank you for your suggestion

(update)i just got the 50d recently with  oem grip . the built in flash does not work and shutter button is weak but  hot shoe works. i had to replace hot shoe metal bracket from a original rebel film camera but the grip does not have a master cut off so you have to pull batteries i am not sure if a aftermarket grip would have a thing like that for 50d ?? but i did leave the battery in the grip seams to last a long time.my camera was used for time lapse photography  so it must have had some water condensation built up ..that is why i think flash is not working and shutter button needs cleaning ,i found under hotshoe rusty gunk .. after some cleaning she is all good.  :)

i would be interested in drone applications but with all the other projects going on right now they have to wait a little ,i checked with local store already sold out on this camera ! i think lots of good things are going to happen once people get there hands on few of these and to mount them in side a car is a very good idea ... :)

true that walter or get a grip with master power switch i have one on my t6i its after market  but works no battery drain

Have you tried with card door open and camera off and see if you get a reading cause on the door there is a micro switch on Canon models or if you installed  ml not correctly

i don't have 50d yet i was thinking about getting one  because of the cost and latest developments i saw a video a few years ago about 50d shooting raw but  there was no audio and i see in earlier posts that the developer has a tascam or zoom recorder in his pics. i think if you use 50d as b roll camera or buy a 5d2 lets see how far the development go ... cause for me audio is important.. 8)

i have used my T5I (700D) on broadcast software and workstation computer with no problems ! running ml you just adjust for the crop in broadcast software . it could be your computer ,hdmi wire software your using  hard to diagnose here!  or use canons new EOS Webcam Utility Beta

https://www.usa.canon.com/internet/portal/us/home/support/self-help-center/eos-webcam-utility/

some people have tested on 700d and say it works even tho it is not listed on canons list

The 50D has faster storage (CF Card 80MB/s+) can record 10,12bit uncompressed raw video along with 14bit .
So it really depends on your needs for your projects , as I don't have a 100D I can't really give the best advice on this
do a forum search for 100D are see what others are saying about it .
Though if the 50D is cheap enough buy both , and use as a"B"Cam.

My main cam is 5D2 & the 50D is "B"Cam/backup , FYI.

@reddeercity
.so you record audio on different device ? cause 100d records  audio but / 50d does not right ...

this is a good side by side comparison you can hardly notice difference in res...i remember seeing a video about 5d3 on atomos blade a few years ago and there was a color difference which can be adjusted in post so no problem there .if you really want a 10 bit output 4:2:2 uncompressed on a canon without breaking the bank there is the canon sl3/250D scroll down to hdmi output part of page https://downloads.canon.com/nw/camera/products/eos/rebel-sl3/downloads/canon-eos-rebel-sl3-specifications-chart.pdf
i know this is unlike canon to offer this feature in consumer type camera . there was a post on canon rumors about a sale for  $360.00 refurbished on the sl 3 in the US. here is the link https://shop.usa.canon.com/shop/en/catalog/cameras/refurbished-eos-interchangeable-lens-camera
thanks for making the comparison
