This feature does the magic: https://github.com/ilia3101/MLV-App/wiki#ca-desaturate--radius
It was thought to reduce CAs, but it works nicely for color moiree as well.

Yes. Record with open aperture and do not use the sharpest lenses. In MLVApp you can filter color moiree (not for RAW export), but luma moiree will still be there.

Don't find an option in MLVapp to reduce color moire, could you please make a screenshot where is it? Thanks

hi everyone, there is a question , is it possible to make  a 60 fps  raw preset even if it will be 720p , but without  framedrops?

Test footage shot earlier today with my EOS-M anamorphic run & gun rig
New to ML, motion and anamorphic
But slowly getting there
Have to say that the EOS-M is an impressive performer
And thanks @Danne for all the effort
Impressive what you are doing !
This was shot using ML Build July26 in mv1080p rewire and upscaled to 4K
Plain RAW footage
Just added some sharpness

Hey, and what lens do you on this shot

@2blackbar
4000x1700, seems about right for 2.35:1 ratio mode.
Your questions have been answered before so please check other posts. I also suggest you learn how to compile if you want to test older builds like the one you are pointing too. Tutorials for both mac and windows are freely available.

Danne can you write what is changed from previous build? To know what to test?

Try the last build 4k anamorphic rewire awesome but framming in real-time is taking the top of the frame , it will be cool if there is some possobility to make it more centered.

hi everyone , today tasted the latest build and notice some strange dots line in bottom of the frame in 2.35 : 1 45\48 fps mode 10 bit . It's very simmilar  to focus pixel dots.

Today retested the last build and unfortunally get corrupted frames in 48fps mode , not consistant but somwhere after 5 - 10  seconds after starting video/ in 16:9 and 2.35:1 aspect ratios and 12 or 10 bit.  Global Dwar off .

MCM mode works perfectly in all aspect ratios and bit depth

Just test the last build MCM mode 24fps 16:9  48fps - 12 and 10 bit 16:9 works perfect first time i get some corrupted frames , but then format card and try again and there was perfect footage. Also good idea to put sd hack into raw menu. Thanks again Danne

Download dforts maps and copy them to same folder as MLVApp executable. MLVApp uses them then.
Thank you

Cool.
Again. fps override will interfere with static set fps. What fps are you aiming for? I could set a preset for another fps, let´s say 25fps in the sub menu. Or you can also use reg_6014(decrease it) to achieve higher frame rates. Of course, the higher frame rate, higher risk for corruption.

I try to set it to 23.976  like an experiment , and saw that lines , but it's only visible in 2.35:1 aspect ratio , in particular use i think nobody will use that value on practice. So I think the last build is incredible. Eos m is now more usefull than first BMPCC .
Now i am waiting my focal reducer for eos m, and wanna try how it will work , it will be almost full frame raw camera

Just test Dannes latest build. 1080p 24 and 48 fps are corruption free, and with nice preview , i think it's the best build i've tested. Only issue is that when fps override is on there is some vertical lines in video. But i don't think it's a big problem fore more users.
Thank you Danne for your work.

Great.
So 3k, 4k. Also broken when used with framing on? That is when recording not using halfshutter.

Mv720p mode. Try set preview to real-time for correct preview.
Sorry i understand not correct first time, now retest and yes i'ts work when press hulfshutter. Preview broken only when recording.
Try real time in 720p with global draw off and yes it's work corrupted frames free.
Thank you Danne for your work

mv1080 preset 2.35:1 work without corrupted frames - superb!
mv1080 46\48 preset 2.35:1 work without corrupted frames - superb!
mv720p 50fps preset 2.35:1 work without corrupted frames - but preview is not framed correctly in real time preview

Tried out latest build.
- 5k anamorphic seems to work. I only get some dots in highlights, I have to check again against version before (all raw corrections off). Same dots are also in mv1080 48fps. Can't remember having seen this before... and you see this already when recording on the liveview screen.

- mv1080 48fps aborts with this screen (did not see such screens in my few tests with 50fps before):

and I found one missing (just black) frame, but no pink corrupted frame

Edit: I see the dots with the build before in the liveview too! Recorded some more 48fps clips... corrupted frames are very rare, but existing.

Yeah there is sometimes corrupted frames , but not consistant, made 5 footages (2.35:1 10 bit)  all 1 minute leght, and only two of them have one corrupted (black) frame each. Set fps override to 47fps , and make my test again and all of them was corrupted frames free.

Yeah, thanks, so needs more tweaking and maybe it should be run in 44fps in the end.

set the 45fps presset to 44fps with all your settings, and yes it's corrupted free but when i swich it to 2.35:1 get some pinkish video.
Sorry for my english, this is not my native lenguage ,but hope you understand me.

also try to set fps override to 48  for 1736x738 50fps presset , and its work fine, whithout any corrupted frames . (2.35:1 10 bit)

Thanks for testing. For 1736x738 50fps I´d prefer if we can have it working with 50fps. When I test it over here it works uncorrupted when global draw is set to off. If you set fps override to 48fps it should run ok?
If nothing works we should really try to find sweet spot for a 48fps preset.

What needs more digging is the 45 fps setting. Seems harder to nail.

EDIT:
By the way. Could you test the 45 fps with following  starting point:
Global draw off
10bit
full 1736x976 ratio
reg_713c -8
reg_7150 -8
reg_6014 +2

Try your settings and still get video with corrupted frames, and get this on screen

You can reduce fps by pushing reg_6014 forward in the sub menu. Also works with reg_6008. Modifying reg_713c and reg_7150 also affects output.
Even reducing fps straight in FPS override should do.
If you get solid results please share your settings.

In crop mode mv 1080p  1736x738 50fps (2.35:1 10 bit) changed reg_6014 to +20 and reg_6008 also +20 . And get more than a minute footage without corrupted frame. FPS override shows that the framerate with this settings is 47.3fps and on 24fps timeline you can do 2x slowmo. Danne if you can make a presset with this values, i will be very thankful.
In mv1080p 1736х976 tryed different values but in all efforts get corrupted frames (

Yes, 45fps and 50fps modes are corrupted.

Maybe its possible to make a little lower resolution but make them without corrupted frames ?

New build:
https://www.magiclantern.fm/forum/index.php?topic=9741.msg208959#msg208959

Renamed 1x3 binning to simply 5K anamorphic.
Faster routine for sd_uhs module(experimental, use at own risk)
Better centering for the 5K anamorphic presets(2.35:1, 16:9)

Just downloaded this new build, and also get corrupted frames in  in crop rec mv1080p 45 fps preset (2.35:1 10bit) (at start of the footage)   and in crop rec mv1080p 50 fps preset (2.35:1 10bit)  somewhere afrer the 300-400 frames get 1 or 2 corrupted frames
