I've tried it, and it works great. What I noticed, that the deep shadows now have green tint instead of magenta. Banding is still there, but overall nice improvement :)

How much highlights is sacrificed to gain clean shadows? Did You tried to compare overexposing by 1ev on iso200 and correcting exposure by -1ev in mlvapp?

Recorded with experimental build from 2018-07-22. 1920x648 stretched horizontally to 16:9 and converted with Mlv App.
5dIII was mounted to Zhiyun Crane 2 mostly in pov mode to make that natural feeling with angles.

Maybe I'm wrong, but i guess that base iso of 5dIII is 160 and that's why.
