I've tried it, and it works great. What I noticed, that the deep shadows now have green tint instead of magenta. Banding is still there, but overall nice improvement

How much highlights is sacrificed to gain clean shadows? Did You tried to compare overexposing by 1ev on iso200 and correcting exposure by -1ev in mlvapp?

Recorded with experimental build from 2018-07-22. 1920x648 stretched horizontally to 16:9 and converted with Mlv App.
5dIII was mounted to Zhiyun Crane 2 mostly in pov mode to make that natural feeling with angles.

100 stock ISO is pretty horrible, indeed.

Maybe I'm wrong, but i guess that base iso of 5dIII is 160 and that's why.
