Did as told. Removed battery (and card). Replaced battery (and card).Held down "SET" and started camera. Released "SET". Camera now working normally again. Thank you v v much Walter Schultz.
Will I need to do this every time I start camera or is it a permanent fix?

With another card it works normally. With ML card  the delay is present regardless of settings or mode.

My canon 600D has recently had Magic Lantern added. It worked well the first time I used it on Intervalometer mode. Since then when I am using other modes there is a delay in shooting of about a second after fully pushing the button. also sport mode doesn't work nor continuous shooting on other modes. Is this a recognised phenomenon and how is it corrected. Any solution or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

My Canon 600 is firmware version 1.0.3 but magic Lantern instructions for installation  says I need 1.0.2. Is this true  and do I need to go back to this earlier version? Also will I destroy the installation if at a later date I go to 1.0.3 or 1.0.4 if a later version is brought out? I need to know this for re-assurance before I proceed. Thanks.

My version is 1.0.3 and it says to go to 1.0.2.for the initial download. I do notice the article is dated 2015. is this correct and I have to go back to an earlier versuion?
