i would REALLY love it, if you could assign a different folder for the wav files. That way, you can import them into AE all at once without having to go through every folder and look for the wav file.

I have the same problem and have asked the same question, although I dont use davinci. There doesnt seem to be an solution. I have to add the wav file to each clip, very annoying.

Well, quite the opposite! If it seems like it has zoomed in, the composition is SMALLER than the video, therefore only showing the center part of it. Make sure the composition is the same size as the frames (1280x720).

before mlv with sound came along I used to to convert my RAW files into dng in subfolders with RAWanizer. Then I could just use  the smartimport script in AE and import the sequences easily. Now, with the added wav. file in the folders, AE doesnt recognize the image sequences anymore, so I have to manually move the wav files to another place and then import, with is really a pain in the butt.

Does anybody have a quick Adobe workflow for me? Or a tool that lets me convert the MLV-files into dng-subfolders but puts the wav file somewhere else?

well, I dont have any problems with dropped frames or stopped recording so no need to change anything there.

frame resolution is maximum in 16:9 on 5d2 since I dont need continous recording but short clips. buffer rate was 4 but I changed it to 1 because that works for you. CF Card is Komputerbay 32gb 1000x. I dont use a recorder, just a hdmi monitor. Well, is has worked before with the same settings on different builts, thats why I said it doesnt work for ME.  Overlays are always killed while recording. The freezing is not the problem. THe problem is that the info bars are blocking part of my screen since they have a black background.

that february 16 built doesnt really work for me. Freezes on hdmi. Also the info bars have black background and are blocking the part that is actually recording on the hdmi monitor.

Exactly! Even popular Filmmakers on Youtube etc. keep saying that they dont use ML since they know a Guy who knows a guy who knows a guy who bricked his camera. Total BS
