You probably forgot to set FPS override.

Most of the higher res crop modes stop recording almost immediately, I get maybe a second.

If there something I'm missing here? Something I haven't set up right.

Wow, this is awesome! This could app be a breakthrough for MLV workflow ease! I will keep close tabs on the development of this app. Will you start selling this app in the future?
