two simple questions:
1 wich EOS M model is better with ML?
2 wich is better for ML video 100d, 700d or EOS M?

hello guys, sorry I found out now this MLVproducer. does it work with lossless compression?

7
Need opinion please.
I know they are the same performance with ML, but wich is the best choose EOS M, 100D or 700D ?

guys, what is the max continuous resolution of 50D? there is crop mode? any hope for the future (lossless, 10 bit ecc)?
I'm 5DIII owner and just thought to sell my cam to swicth to another cheaper ML cam.

9
with 12 bit lossless in 1080x1920 5D3 most the time need less then 40MB/sec. can the 100D, 700D, and Eos M, do 1080p continuous? at least in 2:35 or 8-11 bit lossless...

PS
I just saw this
EOSM, 700D, 100D:

1736x688 @ 50/60p with 3x3 pixel binning (actually column binning / line skipping)
Lossless compression: 1736x976 @ 24p continuous (this is the maximum 16:9 resolution with 3x3 sampling)

Grazie a1ex! Magic!

The super news and high fives would be when 3x3 crop works with higher resolutions like 24xx horizontal. Until the future, use a tripod if shooting crop, or zoom view.

It'll possible?
With somethings like 3x2 Bunning I think...

same problem (stesso problema?  ::)  :D) )
I think the better solution is ML greyscale on the 5D and clean out on the external lcd. with 1.2.3 course

13
unfortunately currently I have only a 50mm f1.8 canon (50€ lens).  i think  could be a more accurate test with good zoom lens, because changing the resolution change the crop.

14
what is the best resolutionfor to scaling image to 1080p?

shooting in 2,88k (as the Alexa do) we can have a 1080p from a compession of 2 every 3 pixels (2880/1920=1,5=3/2)
in 2,304k we have 1,2 compression ratio.

it's better to choose a resolution that give us a compression ratio more precise (like 1,5) or this isn't a problem shooting in raw? so, more resolution more detail?

15
first, great!!! very impressive....
now I need a guidehow to use mlv_dump, please  ::)

16
I hope

Good point but the quality of 1080p RAW is a no go for dual iso.

Too much aliasing...

2.5k crop mode is the way to go for dual iso.
Si....
Now that I find 2,5k continuous shooting its possible, I'm just thinking to sell my a7s and buy a 5d mkIII....
But I'm not sure yet.
Also I'm sure raw is better....

No, it does not mean that.
If you want to do 4k continuously there is no ML enabled cam meeting this criteria.
No, 1920*1080 on the 5d mkII
 no 4k

Hi

this means the 5D MKII can record 1080+1920 continuous schooting?

I'm not a canon user I have an a7s and just thinking to switch to canon for raw!
