Ah, I wasn't aware of "1" being hands off as well. Good to know.

Thanks!

Hey guys,

I'm a long time user of magic lantern, and love all the work that a1ex and others have contributed here. I'm wondering if there's discussion regarding the 1DX mkii. It's not a Cinema camera, but wonder if it's still hands off for development?

If not, then what's needed to get started?

General Help Q&A / Re: mountains at night

You're going to have a hard time with that shot on a t3i or even a t5i. On M you need to adjust your ISO and make sure your aperture is pretty wide if you're using moonlight. Put your camera on a tripod and make your shutter speed roughly 30 seconds. See what you get.

I just don't think those camera's have really high ISO capabilities. Much less clean like a 5D mkiii

Good luck!

Camera-specific Development / Re: Canon 5D Mark IV

I'm also extremely bummed cfast cards are not available for this camera. At the very least if these specs are true, the best I can hope for is the SD cards being UHS-II. That would give a substantial boost over the CF cards.

We'll just have to wait and see.

Hey guys,

I have a talkinghead/interview shoot I'm looking to shoot with Magic Lantern. We have plenty of CF cards and we're going to be using external power source. My question is has anyone run into any problems recording RAW for extended periods of time? I'm aware of the issue if you record longer than the card can carry, but should I be worried about overheating or damage to the sensor? My current max is roughly 3 minutes. Wondering if anyone can offer any help, or suggestions.

Thanks!

Crazy. Never seen that before. I've never shot on a 70D though. I've had funky things happen without magic lantern when I record to an external device. Was this just baked in camera?

Hey! I don't want to give it all away, but you should play around with blend modes.  ;)

Thanks guys! Other than grading in Photoshop RAW the only other grades were done in Premiere. There were a lot of other subtle things I did as well that affected the grade. For example, the girl that's mirrored in the double exposure at :42. Her background is actually two exposures. One for the sky, and another for the city. Then I masked the two and put them together. Hopefully that makes sense.

Also as a Peruvian, I loved your train to Ollanta video.  ;)

This project took about 3 months to complete. Worked on it just on my free time. All shot 5D mkiii ML RAW with the exception of one shot, which was the 1DX mkii because I needed 4k slow motion.
