anyone moving to the 80d?  a d6 processor, slightly higher 24 mb sensor and more autofocus points.  that's about it.  same crappy uhs-I sd card interface.

According to the review by The Camera Store guys the sensor of 80D is pretty great and at par with the competitors. And according to the following post, the write speed is around 80mbps! Need to be verified though.

I'm still experiencing
- 2) When in liveview and then enter ML menu within a few seconds it automatically jumps me back to the liveview (doesn't happen if i wasn't in liveview)
Can't seem to see anyone else talking about this in the forum --> I can film it if that's helpful

(I know it's a beta, so just giving this as feedback :-)

Even with RAW I use a flat picture style, just to capture more DR in the footage.  Cinestyle is OK if you use their LUT.  There are others.

RAW video means unprocessed raw data captured by the sensor and that means no picture style is baked in it. So it doesn't matter what picture style you have selected. Correct me if I'm wrong.

I updated the 1st post in "What's not working" section. The workaround is to disable "Beep"in canon menu or set that option to "Touch to...". I ofc tried to fix it in the meantime but wasn't successful. So everybody better follow the advice when using mlv sound.

Ok cool. That worked.

Once again, thanks a ton for your amazing work!

@nikfreak  The beta is working pretty smoothly. Thanks a lot!  :D

But this problem still exists: camera crashes if I touch the screen while recording mlv. This doesn't happen while shooting H.264.
'Touch to focus' feature just crashes the camera while shooting mlv.

@nikfreak - First of all, thank you so much for your amazing work.

I am a newbie and I was testing the alpha 7a build. It worked great. But had one issue. While recording MLV, I had set aspect ratio 2.35:1, but it used to change to full screen while recording. But the recorded video had the right aspect ratio. It was difficult to compose the frame due to this. ( Global draw was ON and cropmarks ON)

Then I clean intstalled the latest Iceman build, set the global draw mode ON and movie crop mode ON and It shows the correct aspect ratio while recording. But now both auto focus and touch focus don't work while shooting MLV. If I turn movie crop mode OFF then the aspect ratio changes to full screen and auto focus starts to work again. But as soon as I touch the screen to focus, the crop mark appear on the screen, camera focuses where i touched on the screen and the camera crashes immediately. Err 70

I tried searching forums but that didn't help. Sorry for bothering you. And thanks once again.
