Hi there,
I'm having this exact same problem with my 60D.

I don't know if it has anything to do with the error 70, but what happened to me is almost exactly as a lot of people on this topics has explained.

I took my 60D on a vacation trip to Roraima, and everything was fine until i started taking some timelapse of the stars at night, and the weather was rather cold and maybe with some very light rain. The Camera was set to take RAW files and i didn't noticed the pictures i was taking were having some crazy artifacts because i didn't want to drain the baterry looking at the LCD all the time.. a few days later i noticed it was giving me this "Cannot playback image" error, and after a few tries to solve it i started getting the error 70 and wasn't able to take any more pictures.

I canno't live preview anything, only when doing the CA trick, turning it of, taking out the battery, turning it on on C mode and inserting the battery after... this is the only way i can get it to take a few pics but with artifacts.

This is the latest crash log i got:

ASSERT: FALSE

lv:1 mode:3

And here's the log file: http://pastebin.com/7841Ng38

I've been reading everything i can about solving this problem but nothing has worked so far, and i don't know much about compiling/coding and stuff... If somebody can help i will be very grateful.

Thanks.
