Is there no UNDO button with MLV Video? So if I don't like an adjustment I've done I can go back a step? I can't see it in the menu system and Cmd + Z doesnt do anything either.
Thanks in advance.

Has the issue of the 700D not being able to record audio if FPS override is activated never been fixed from when this was first posted Feb 2016 3 three later in 2019 then?
I have the latest build of ML.
Where can I report this?

Current issues with Magic Lantern for 650D.

1. When you pop out the LCD to view yourself when shooting video VERY OFTEN the LCD will be a mirror image of its with all the text also the wrong way round.
You can some what fix this by rotating the LCD screen up/down/in/out, BUT most of the time the auto face detection / focus is then mirrored the wrong way round (So if you move your head to the left the focus square moves in the opposite direction).

(Auto mirroring does not fix this, but I'm not sure its even intended for this)

Ive tried the above WITHOUT Magic Lantern installed and it operates correctly so it must be ML causing this.

2. Flashing histogram layered on top of Magic Lantern main menu (When you hit TRASH). Sometimes you will also see some of the view from the lens too.

I assume this is where we report issues?

Thanks in advance for looking into this and fixing it.

OK, that seems to work so many thanks, but what is this doing exactly?
Is this actually focusing slightly?
It makes the Zebras blink constantly so its a little annoying.

I dont know how you got on with this but I wouldnt even bother using a specific picture style as you'll probably have such low light level that nothing will help in post (But you say you dont want to do much anyway)
Just set it to the normal picture profile, 24 or 25 FPS for a more cinematic look, with 50FPS, you'll probably be at the lowest number for your F to try and get that exposure right, then adjust the ISO in divisions of 160 until you get "Correct exposure" (So also check the histogram).
TBH though you'll probably find you wont even be able to get it exposed well enough due to low light levels.

I dont know if the LCD panel on the top of the Canon 5D mark 3 is something thats accessible through Magic Lantern, but currently with an Atomos recorder the only way (As far as Im aware) to get a Canon camera to keep recording after 29 mins and 59 seconds (Without the camera auto stopping itself) even though its not actually recording itself is to press the LCD panel illumination button once before 30 mins is up so then the Canon camera starts from 0 mins 0 secs again (Then you have to press it again at some point etc) .

Is this something that could be automated with Magic Lantern?
Thanks in advance.

Hi Guys

Here are the responses from various users for my below question posted April 13, 2016, 01:48:42 PM
I'm sorry its been so long since I responded but I didnt even realise anyone had replied...Man, this post is way too long why cant we have individual posts for each question rather than one long post?

-----------------------------
Maybe this has been answered before but with there not being a Canon 5D iii actual board on here (Do we really have to ask all questions relating to Magic Lantern & 5D iii on one single thread?) I don't know where to start to look to find an answer.

Ive turned on the continues video recording function but its operating really strangely.

Rather than fill a 4GB file size limit it records the following durations:

23 mins then 7 mins
20 mins then 10 mins
17 mins etc etc

So in the end two file sizes next to each other seem to record to 30 mins, split over 2 videos.

My problem with this is that it seems totally random how long a video will record for before it stops and restarts.
So I cant definitely know I can record for a certain length without it stopping and restarting.

Anyone else got this issue and any help please?

Thanks in advance.

Have you exFat formatted your CF card and enabled exFat in the ML menu?

I am using a 64GB SanDisk Extreme 90MB/s SD Card SDXC Class 10 U3
Which is more than capable of capturing 4K, let alone 1080p which I am doing here.
It is formatted ExFat

Where is "Enable exFat" in Magic Lantern menu?

May I ask which mode you are using?

H.264, All-I? H.264, IPB?

I am using
1920 25 ALL-I

Or are you running MLV_REC.mo or RAW_REC.mo?
I am not recording in RAW. I'm not sure what
MLV_REC.mo
is?

And let us know how fast the card actually is. Debug tab -> Benchmarks -> Card R/W benchmark (5 min)
From the above debug tab:
Write speed 19.3 MB/s
Read 20 MB/s

Although using AJA System Test app on my Mac, its more like 40/83

So can anyone advise further please?

Hi Guys
I was just wondering why there's still no Magic Lantern available for the Canon 5D firmware 1.3.3 ?

The reason I'm questioning this is because maybe I'm wrong but you cant view exposure preview with 1.2.3 in the Canon Utility app can you but you can with 1.3.3?

I have just purchased a Manfrotto Digital Director and cannot view exposure preview in it either (As Im running ML with 1.2.3), which is why I assume I cant view the exposure preview?

Thanks
