QuoteSo, or somewhere on the road, after march 15 of this year, this options is damaged or it is just your 30July build...
Maybe try a newer nightly build of August and see what happens ?

QuoteThere are two July.30 builds:
builds.magiclantern.fm/jenkins/job/6D.113
If you look at build #256 you will see 5th change: Fixed ML restoring after format, after FIO changes

You are both correct. Apparently I got lucky getting the July.30 build that broke ML restore and didn't notice it since I downloaded (..and until I formatted my cards). Thanks for your input, Levas, Walter. :)

can someone verify if formatting the card in-camera keeps ML? I just wiped my SD card in Canon menu with low-level format selected as well as "Keep ML" then after I restarted the camera ML is no longer installed. tried 5x in separate cards, still the same.

Using July.30 build on this.

Wow! Great job on keeping the 6D on the nightly builds! :)

Can anyone confirm if this is *normal* behavior?

Using the Bulb Timer, I noticed the exposure value in the image that was taken isn't exactly what was set. For example, I set the Bulb Timer to 10s, after the image was taken and reviewing the image the exposure value at the upper left of the image shows 10"6. I went ahead to M mode (turned off Bulb Timer at this point) and set exposure to 10 seconds to do another test. Reviewing the image shows exactly 10". Thoughts?

The said behavior is somewhat similar to what most external remote/intervalometer gives wherein the exposure value isn't exactly set for taking the image.

Using magiclantern-Nightly.2014Jul18.6D113 on this.

Is there a list of 100 percent working features for the 6D out there?
100% working features is not (yet) guaranteed but you can always check this feature comparison matrix and see what's available for 6D.

Hi. I'd like to try out magic lantern on my 6d. I currently have firmware version 1.1.4 and my questions are:

What do i need to download from magic lantern ? The nightly build for canon 6d ?
From what i've seen on youtube i need to have version 1.1.2 and 1.1.3. How can i get those firmwares ?
Is there a recommended documentation i can follow while installing the firmware ?
What is the procedure to entirely and safely remove magic lantern from everywhere ?
I've read about a warning that you should not remove the card right after you open the card door but instead wait for the led to turn off. What happens if you accidentally do remove the card before the led turns off ?

Thanks !

Read the first page of this thread and also there is a User Guide link at the top right of the forum. All the things you need are all in there.

Just keep hitting that until you find a build that did not fail... which will be Date: 2014-05-21 18:37:47 -0400  which i have been running without issue!

There is no such build that you have mentioned. Only build I have found close to your date for 6D.113 is
Date: 2014-05-21 04:37:47 +0600.

Am I missing something important. Please help.

Just to note that the build date/time are based on your current timezone and is the reason both @erox76 (timezone of -0400) and @Apon (timezone of +0600) don't see the same thing and causes this kind of confusion.
