Blue Screen Crash.

I would think most people don't know about this "prank".
Why do we have to waste time trying to figure out what is wrong with the camera?
When you are using your camera and trying to get work done and this nonsense shows to make using ML not enjoyable.

This is not funny, not a joke and not professional.
Come on.  Just remove this stupid prank. Not funny, Ugh...

No I don't want to change the date.  Dates on files should be correct.

Prank your web site, but not in the firmware for god sakes.

shooting 29.97fps, 1920x1080, shutter 1/62.50, iso 100.  lcd brightness set to 4.
canon support suggested turning down, but level 3 is pretty dark.

i recorded one clip for 12:30 and then another, but the camera froze at 13:30.

the battery area got super hot and camera lcd was black with the red led flashing.
turned off camera and removed battery.  permanently?  you mean for a minute?

was using as a b-camera so was not watching the lcd when it froze.

My 70D is overheating.  I noticed someone mention on here about overheating.  Is the cause ML?  If so, are there settings that will keep the 70D from overheating?  i did search and didn't find anything.

just turn on crop marks in overlays.  use the built in cinesco2 or make your own.

to clarify, my original idea is for both for single camera or multi camera use.

why not do something like CHDK, and just have a file list and select the file/preset to load?
maybe their source code can be modified for use with ML?

first format on the camera.

if you see on page 5 on the INSTALL.pdf from the download, there is a link to the make_bootable.sh.
you can use this on the mac. you need to set it's privileges to executable. run by typing ./make_bootable.sh in terminal.

2.3 works bette with the T3i and you can use the newest firmware with 2.3.
audio is still not fully supported, but they are working on it.

lekid, what is hanging you up?  if you are on a mac, you can use MacBoot and Make DSLR-bootable.
or as 1% wrote, eoscard for windows.

i was having a different but similar issue with my 600D.  the lcd would power save and the aperture would reset to the widest setting.  updating to 2.3 resolved my issue.  so update to 2.3 and it might solve your issue too.

in movie mode it shows 1/47 for me too.  in manual photo it shows 1/48.  it think it showed 1/46.9 when movie exposure was set to automatic instead of manual after the initial update.

check the user guide for full info on FPS Override.
short answer is, no it is not for slow motion. 
you might be able to go up a couple frames, but you can go to .2 frames.
best use for FPS Override is for video time lapse.

How about multiple settings / presets on one card?
so you could save a video, time lapse and photography presets that you can load.

maybe even be able to save presets for multiple cameras with only the presets used for matching camera.
name the presets like 60D-timelapse.CFG , 600D-video.CFG , 550D-photo.CFG
that way the camera only loads the matching config file.

exp override is set to auto.  is that resetting the aperture?  i did not see anything in the user guide about that.
the guide only mentions shutter and iso.

i am still testing and learning magic lantern.
i have 2.2xmas installed on my T3i with a Canon 50mm 1.4.
at the beach I set the aperture to 22.6 and then after a while the screen goes black and magic lantern is back to 1.4.
so I set it again to 22.6 and again the screen goes blank and back to 1.4.
so I changed the lcd power save feature for longer, but then the aperture changed back to 1.4 without the lcd going black.

what am I missing?

my T3i had firmware 1.0.1, but it was not the right one. so I had to download the 1.0.1 firmware from a vimeo group to get Magic Lantern to run.

Thanks for all your hard work on Magic Lantern.  I am still learning how to use ML and doing lots of tests.
I have installed it on a T1i and T3i.

I am in San Diego county and want to find great people to work with on projects. 
Still trying to find good lenses and equipment.
