Was hoping to get some advice. I'm currently shooting on 5D3 with the latest build. For as long as I can remember once I attempt to shoot at 60fps and play with the resolution setting i'm unable to get a write speed above 60 MB per second. Is that normal? If so i'm cool with it. At 1920 X 1080 24fps i'm able to dip into the mid 90's write speed.

I have been shooting 4 days in a row ( in a raw ^^)  with those nightly builds : 06_02_2014 * 07_02_2014 * 08_02_2014
Everything went smooth, except one thing. For no apparent reasons, the frame rates skipped randomely from 25 fps to 29.776. I'd say one clip went wrong every 8 "good" 25 fps clips. I only noticed that when I converted my MLV to DNG sequences (thanks to Tony and his great mlv converter : http://www.magiclantern.fm/forum/index.php?topic=10198.0 )

I'm on a 5D Mark III
Global Draw : On all modes
Cropmarks : On
Raw video (MLV) : 1920x818 (2.35:1), Global draw : Allow

Is it a known bug ?

Are you shooting in crop mode? Whether you are or not enable FPS Override in the movie menu of ML and select your desired frame rate, then select exact fps as the mode.

That should do the trick.

Quick question, I recently got my camera back from a clean and check from canon where I specifically asked them not to upgrade my firmware. they complied and left it alone, but when I got it back, I had to reload ML on the camera.

Now since i've reloaded ML the ML card has to always be in the camera or I get:

"Update file error. Please check the memory card and reload the battery and try again"

I've tried putting reenabling the boot flag made my sd card bootable again with no such luck.  The reason I discovered was because I was trying to update to 1.2.3

are you sure there are the files
D:\\DCIM\\100EOS5D\\M31-1431.M00
D:\\DCIM\\100EOS5D\\M31-1431.M01 etc?

but this wasnt the .dng version, right?
can you first delete the .idx?

Correct it was the raw version before. Here is the dng version from my pc after I deleted the idx file pertaining to that file. Its performs this way on both my mac and pc fyi.

I tried exporting as .dngs and came up with the same results on mlvbrowse both on PC and mac . Please see my log below

Hope you are taking my responses in the light and fun demeanor that's intended.

I did right click it, I chose to export as raw + wav I ended up with a 4.29gb raw file when the 3 combined are about 9gb

updated, please redownload and try again

I'm able to see the previews but it still doesn't convert  M31-1431.M00 .M01 etc

Sorry, when I open MLV Browse Sharp it recognizes say M31-1431.MLV and will convert it to raw or .dng's but in my folder there is also M31-1431.M00 and M31-1431.M01 and won't convert those files to dng's or raw.

if you get any exception, just move your mouse over the file icon and you will see the
exception reason in the tooltip - please upload a screenshot of the tooltip.

Thanks G3ggo, it's not quitting anymore but I'm still unable to join the .m00 .m01 clips is there some other software that i'm unaware of to do that ?

Finished a shoot yesterday and recorded using mlv_rec . Some of the takes were longer and over 4gb in size where ML split them into .m00 .m01 etc. Every time I open MLV browse sharp and navigate to the folder where the files are located it quits. Any pointers from anyone ?

I also noted that some of the clips are 4.29gb in size FYI card is exfat formatted.
